I need to vent. There’s this woman where I work, and her receding hairline just freaks me out. Like, that’s a rough 24, lady. When we’re on downtime, she’ll watch her anime and it’s clearly not work safe, but she doesn’t care. Meanwhile, she’s taken to fretting about being on the receiving end of a genocide with Republicans in power, then crying that she can’t find any women to date (she’s also a lesbian). Why do they let women in the workplace?

Just had a big bust up with the missus, on the basis that if someone asks "what can I do to make your life better" and they respond with "that's unfair, it puts the burden back on me", then saying "maybe your life wasn't that hard to begin with" apparently causes a women to freeze up like a broken modem while they try to figure out how this is somehow still your fault.

Well the fight happened. She asked what I want and I really kicked off about wanting a modicum of respect and then she rolled her eyes and I really got pissed.
I jumped up and told her she needs to speak to with more respect than the person behind the counter at fucking McDonald's. And she just looked scared for ages. Like a minute. Two minutes. Three minutes. Nothing.
And I said don't you do that shit, make yourself the victim now. And she said, just look at us, look at our body language. And she was almost crying.

The thing that annoys me about women is their inability to just harden their hearts even a little. My sister texted me Tiktok of an I.C.E. arrest happening near the town we used to live in and she couldn't help but feel bad for them. When I try and explain to her why it's important to enforce immigration laws she called me racist and asked why I couldn't have at least some empathy for them.
Unironically this is all it takes to get some women to change their mind.

Mine's the opposite (as far as I can tell) - if it doesn't directly impact me right now, I don't care about it. Try to talk about anything political - can't do anything about it in her position, so don't care about it. I suppose it's somewhat helped by being fresh out of university without falling (entirely - picked up the pro woman talking points but not the caring about browns and trans people points) down the woke hole and this will change once it becomes unavoidable. Hopefully can steer the young woman to avoid some of the common pitfalls in the coming years.
