the more i think about it, the less i think the death penalty for dealers is a downside or a bad thing. we need a little more fear of doing things that degrade the overall quality of society in this way.

I doubt it will get to Second American Civil War, though at the same time it IS sad for more reasons than one. Your average American citizen by and large has no idea how bad a civil war would be (think of how horrid it is in society for your average person because of the damage Biden did as well as the overall issues going on with the left pushing back against the Administration trying to fix it and growing division in various areas) - and it isn't funny at all, it's just sad.
The burden doesn't really lie with the zoomers and younger entirely, a lot of it is that the civil war is treated like a footnote in education compared to other worldly events. In 8th grade my class spent the whole year learning about the Holocaust.
I certainly hope not, but the rhetoric is already there. We're standing on the needle's edge of blatant calls to action in some states. Technically, there already have been from the left for years now. I just can't help but noticing the parallels, and I'm disappointed to say that I just wouldn't be surprised if things became more volatile within the next 3 years. That's my more liberal estimation, too.

It wouldn't be able to break out like a Union vs. Confederacy situation given electoral maps by county (think geography in the modern US), all the right wing "white" faction would theoretically have to do vs. the "reds" is cut off supply lines to urban areas, would that make sense from a martial strategy idea? I'm still of the mind it's going to be an American IRA/Troubles kind of deal at best and a "Spanish Civil War lite" at worst.
