Fake fan alert! In the film Event Horizon, the ship that went to Hell/sexmurder dimension/the Warp where all its crew went mad and killed each other is named the Event Horizon. Surprise?

The ship whose crew we follow into the whole mess is a rescue ship, the Lewis and Clark.

(There is a third ship, that comes to open the habitat section of the Event Horizon after the Lewis and Clark was destroyed, but IIRC we never hear the name, and that wouldn't be in a prequel.)

I really like Event Horizon. It is my favorite movie where Sam Neill is on a ship with an experimental propulsion system, and that's some tough competition. However, horror fans talk up the missing extra footage of the hell dimension a lot more than it's really worth, and if it's ever found in the back of some film storage salt mine I think everyone's going to be disappointed.

It wasn't a subplot or scenes that would add to the narrative; they just shot some gross/disturbing B-roll intended to be cut into the montage in the finished movie. If it weren't presented as flashes of blood in the dark, it'd probably be metal music video-caliber. We know what happened to "the other ship," because in the movie a major plot point is watching/listening to the logs. We don't know blow-by-blow who killed whom or who ended up as which blood puddle, but the first crew didn't even have names mentioned. Other than the captain. It'd just be snuff fanfiction without any surprises at the end.
But this is either more of Stephanie's "oh boy masturbating to gore" LARP ? , or it's her trying desperately to seem edgy and knowledgeable.
