On the one hand I kind of agree, but on the other hand, I feel like having a son who's almost 40 and refuses to clean up after himself (while also presumably being a dick to anyone who tries to help him) would exhaust most people's ability to care.

Discord faggots are not the same thing as real life friends and family. If you cut off any real human interaction in your life in favor of Discord or other social media or internet forums, you will always end up like Bruno. There was nothing Discord freaks could have done to help him and I actually suspect if anything people on Discord and this site were most likely more encouraging for Bruno to keep being the way he is.

I hope he's alive. Judging by his room, someone this clustered would usually fail at suicide. You need a clear mind and be able to actually "commit" to it. Since he couldn't even commit to cleaning his room, let alone go to the bathroom, I optimistically believe he might be still alive.

If anything, I assume he was mad that you met the director and he didn't because Bruno took massive pride in being the cult-B horror movie expert guy (it's literally all he had in life) so he probably took it as a threat to his status when you showed up bragging about your inside knowledge and meeting the director.
I actually 100% believe it. I've seen nursing homes that are exactly as Bruno described even complete with the Jamaican H1-B workers abusing the residents. Shit smeared on the walls and door handles? That's just a typical shift on a full moon in a nursing home.
