There really is some kind of bizarre sickness when it comes to libs today and critical thinking. I know both political groups have this problem, but it seems insanely bad for left right now.
Most people still deeply entrenched in the Tranny left usually cite things like restricting access to gender affirming care rather than the block on the military. They (usually) see absolutely no problem with starting kids on puberty blockers at 10 and then go on to explain that allowing a child to suffer from gender dysphoria from 10-18 without treatment is "Literally Hitler" shit. Cruelty for the sake of being Transphobic and wanting to inflict harm. They are obsessed with this.
There is no discussion after this, because mentioning risks, age of consent, other treatments or diagnostics as a precursor, you are screeched at as being a Transphobe as well. I've tried. Several times. I have never once had a serious engagement about it from a Tranny leftist. It's one of the things I point to when asked why my personal overton window has slid to the right.
Most of the rest is just garden variety idealistic utopia shit. "Why can't the billionaires be stripped of their wealth and we all get to live for free and never work again?" kind of shit. "Police wouldn't be needed if everyone lived for free" and see the immigration issue as nothing more than unmasked racism rather than an economic or social issue.
They'll insist that the cherry picked stories of Jorge Valdez who raped 3 kids and is here illegally is an exception to the rule and white people rape kids too. But won't talk about, or are blind to, how at least the white person deserves to rot in a US prison instead of a Mexican one because he shouldn't have been here in the first place.
However, very few "actual" leftists support democrats. Libshits, sure. But not leftists or progressives. They've grown tired of the Dem apathy and status quo. Most will acknowledge that the Dems are just as culpable when it comes to the state of capitalism's boot on the neck of everyone but the elite.
But because things are a binary choice, it's still better than orange hitler who wants Tranny kids to suffer and is sending all the non whites out of the country.
