The thing is, the facts about this death are far different from Floyd, but in the crucible of retarded political internet shitflinging and narrative/storytelling, what matters is how it's perceived by the general populace as a result of the responses to the occurence. That is to say, if Rightoid outrage leads to comparisons with Floyd, then this does become the White George Floyd. That's how it will be remembered, that's what it'll become. Think about it like this: Guns are ingrained in the very essence, the very soul of America. At this rate, to even consider removing guns, implementing buybacks, or doing anything to 'get rid' of firearms is an utter fool's errand, but also shows a complete lack of understanding for what this nation stands for; to even consider anything more extreme than fair laws around registration and redflag laws, is simply retarded.
You have the 2nd amendment itself, ingrained since the start of the nation, woven into the very culture and framework of America.
You have the people who would never in a million years betray it, no matter what, and who believe in those ideals.
You have the statistical nightmare that there are more guns in America than people; it is totally retarded to think you could magically make them go away.
Then you have the fact that humans kill each other, and changing all of that wouldn't even fucking matter, bc it's just going to be a knife, fists, or some other weapon if it's not a gun. It was always the people, not the weapon.
Bundle it all up and there's nothing anyone could do to get rid of guns. There's no easy answer (other than minimizing psychopathic people having access to weapons and psychiatry).
You know what else you can't get rid of?

People blame Discord because Discord has been told repeatedly about these freaks and not only does nothing, but actively protects them in some cases. The actual people are, of course, to blame, but Discord and other platforms that refuse to enforce rules against them and often shield them from the social/legal consequences of their actions are also to blame.

Why did he think just deleting messages would actually absolve him and others of anything?
Time and time again, for at least the last twenty years (probably longer), criminals try to delete texts and emails but they're always recovered lol. Even straight up ditching phones doesn't work bc of cell towers.
