This will sound nuts but then again I am nuts so here’s a schizophrenic take for you.
I think that this shooting, and the other violence that’s been going on, is and will be used to more or less inflame White people into a degree of racial solidarity. Now, that sounds nice until you wonder why this is coming from the top and who will be pushed as the ‘White thought leader’ going forward. I genuinely think a power struggle is going on behind the scenes along racial lines, as every race has a mafia with their own goals and missions.
For example, I’ve seen a decent amount of White conservatives and conservative-adjacent people telling us to buy guns expressly because of this incident. And I agree with that on its face, shit I got me a new one just because I can as should you because it’s your right, but are they genuinely looking out for their people or is there some other shit going on?
IDK, but I’m always suspicious about the response to tragedies because that’s when people are more malleable. Guess we’ll just see what gets pushed from this and work from there.

No, it means they have to yank its teeth out and make it toothless so it isn't violating the constitution any more. If it no longer applies to the plaintiff, the case is moot since there's no longer any controversy. There's a really narrow exception called "capable of repetition yet evading review" that doesn't apply.

SCOTUS hasn't addressed this yet but they probably should. It would probably be unanimous or near unanimous. (This is my last post on this so if I don't respond again it's not that I'm snubbing you, I just don't want to continue derailing.)

If you want to claim that by "people," you meant "municipalities," I'm just going to call you gay.

There are two broad categories of anti-BDS legislation. One is prohibiting municipalities from engaging in their own economic sanctions, which are a form of foreign policy. The other is a refusal to contract with or invest in businesses that engage in boycotts. Broadly speaking, state governments reacting to leftist attempts to subvert universities and corporations and turn them into independent (meaning left wing-controlled) agents of foreign policy is a good thing, even if the country at the heart of the issue is a rather annoying one.
