The sam hyde video started out solid-ish but then when it veered into talking about getting rid of the constitution "because it's old" and how people on the right should do the same BS as the left as if they aren't already he completely lost me and it became blatantly just politics video essayist garbage.
The entire thing stinks. OVER TEN YEARS AGO when this shit started with the people now just slathered as "the left" people on all sides of the political spectrum called out that they were behaving like the bush era annoying holier than thou types but with the team color swapped. Thing is those prior holier than thou types never went away, either. It just grew more, like a fucking cancer. Because everything is fake and gay as hell now we're supposed to ignore this I guess and cheer like fucking seals at pushing for more rights to be taken from people because maybe it'll hurt the "bad side" in he long run like EVERY IDEOLOGICALLY CAPTURED USEFUL IDIOT HAS DONE THE LAST SEVERAL DECADES.
At the end of the day, influencers are people too. I know some people were giving Sam Hyde a hard time at his reaction for being shocked and not knowing what to say earlier too - he's just a guy at the end of the day. A very funny one but still human like all of us. If there is substantial LEO action and this is resolved in a somewhat, uh, satisfying way (I don't think people would be satisfied with anything less than dozens of arrests including the people that funded this) I think he will walk back those comments. But people are so fucking mad now. We've given these freaks so much room, have put up with being hit in the back of the head dozens of times, and we always had this overall compassion and empathy for them as a society. They have weaponized that compassion against us and then gaslit us. It's like being married to a chick with BPD - and the right always knew that if they responded there would be no going back. But now they've done the unthinkable, and they've made it painfully obvious that they want everyone like Charlie Kirk dead.
This is the most sobering thing for me that I realized the other day:
To them, the only thing separating you from deserving death like Charlie Kirk is how many people listen to you.
That's it. If you suddenly became really popular for espousing moderately right viewpoints they basically look and see how effective you are - if you are effective at challenging their ideas (like in a normal political system), they would cherrypick quotes out of context, strawman you, and wink and nudge their psychos that they should kill you. Then once they do they will cheer on your death, harass your wife taunting her of her dead husband, and make fun of your fatherless kids. There's virtually nothing else separating you from Charlie Kirk. Sam Hyde has had the most prescient quote back when I couldn't ever see us getting to this point.
This realization that there is a significant percentage of people on the left that have completely gone crazy is scary, angering, and depressing all at once. I don't blame Sam for getting emotional and overreacting, but I think it really highlights just how dire the situation is. Before Wednesday normies could try and doublethink away the reasoning behind the white guilt, the mass immigration, the anti-christian shit, the "you can't be racist against white people" mantras, etc. Even with the Trump attempts you could try and rationalize it as "oh well, they're only saying that shit because the bullet missed, they wouldn't say it if it killed him". But now it is painfully undeniable that yes, they really want all of us dead. They really want to kill you. You're just too small on their radar for now.
The far left/antifa types have to be expelled from the democratic party if we are going to heal.
