To piggy back on this I have an awful feeling that seeing the lengths they went to today, the radical left is getting wise to the point to start including false flag messaging in their bullet casing or other methods. They already tried arguing it today, as insane as it sounds in retrospect, but now they are 100% aware of the perception and how to manipulate it. And there's no level these people won't stoop to to win. I'm worried we will see a rise in literal false flag attacks perpetuated by one insane person, how would we be able to stop this? Legitimately.

Laughing at Charlie's death, calling him a fascist with zero evidence, saying he deserved it with reasonings like "live by the sword, die by the sword."

The tough part is I've known some of these people for decades, and they're generally pleasant people otherwise. I love them. But man, it's really worrying to see the political poisoning show up in real life to people you know and love.

I dunno, just using this thread as a pressure valve since I try and avoid politics in real life for obvious reasons. It's all so tiresome, bros.

i dont know how you remain friends with people like that, knowing that if their standard of you deserving to be killed is being moderately right wing, that they want you dead (maybe not you particularly but lots of people here). i wouldnt be able to let loose around people like that, knowing the wickedness of what they truly feel, thinking exercising your free speech should put a target on your back for saying mean things, especially knowing it applies to me as well.

why cant we return to a decade ago where half of the leftwing didnt want 90% of the rightwing killed? why is everything forced to be political now? i've tried to focus less on politics in recent times, but moments like this revealing the true nature of these "people" make it near impossible to not pick a side. i miss when people could discuss politics, then turn it off and be apolitical and get along. but those times are over.

But, I'm not gonna argue on hypotheticals until the guberment gives us a solid statement on what happened. At that point I'll determine if I believe them or not.

I'm not saying he was gay or straight or whatever but i saw so many people saying he was a straight white dude from a republican household. There's no evidence of his sexual preference anywhere. They just assumed he was straight.

Same, I'm a little shocked by the talk of the people around me, both in my personal life and at work. I have opinions way farther right then Kirk did, does that mean I should be shot too in the eyes of who I thought were my friends and coworkers?

Feels more and more like that if they knew the real way I think about issues I'd be dead to them, even if those things aren't issues that effect their daily life.

But at the same time, I've known these people for so long that I know I've shared the real part of me in other ways, I think that it's just a hyper emotional, hyper viligiant political landscape and people are caught up in the sway of much more powerful propaganda machines then we realize.

Like how the fuck is my normie friend gonna suddenly be an expert on groypers?! They think they understand these deeply ironic subculture groups cause of some pozzed article they skimmed on reddit 5 minutes before the convo started, the way people are being fed information isn't normal and I truly believe we're watching mass hysteria in real time online driven by algorithms. Only time will tell how this all shakes out, I hope the people around us figure out how fucked this all is.

I do have to ask myself why I care more about the Bataclan massacre than brendan tarrant shooting up a mosque. Not that I support tarrant, and I couldn't watch the video and was sad for the victims, but I will admit it does not affect me emotionally the same way. In my worldview this makes sense because social groups closer to me are more important than outgroups, but if you discuss this with a left wing person, they may raise this issue. So, it is worth thinking about.

My answer to this is that Christchurchh happened AFTER Charlie Hebdo, the Bataclan, the Nice Bastille Day truck massacre, the Berlin Christmas market massacre, 9/11, the Madrid truck attacks, the Barcelone truck attacks, Beslan, etc etc.

It's called painting the town red. You can push a peaceful Caucasian christian man so far but one day it's just too far. I didn't feel bad the day that Christchurch happened. I thought, give them a taste of their medicine for once. Did you notice that there were far fewer terror attacks after that? Of course you could say that it's because the police state became better at dealing with the threat. You could think that too.
