Probably repeating what's already been said but even though I didn't have a strong opinion of the guy one way or the other it's outright astonishing how openly people are praising the public killing of someone who was willing to discuss their beliefs and debate issues with others. The message that gives for anyone who shares any of those beliefs is that even if you just want to talk about things you believe, you're willing to be killed for it. I just can't understand the short-sightedness of celebrating it. For all the jokes about leopards eating faces that get made today, the willingness to breed a climate where you can be murdered for exercising your rights is astounding. Not exactly celebrating, but certainly condoning and what some people might call "victim blaming" a man who was shot in a horrific way in front of his family and in front of the woworld.

The quote doesnt even make sense because charlie still felt sad about those deaths and cared about them, he just stayed true to his convictions despite them.
