Important, more than smart: He immediately lashes out upon being asked to share his reasoning. Mister Jack Russell here expects people to kiss his ass and do as they’re told, even though he’s too stupid to convey what he wants because he doesn’t know, either - He only knows that he’s being cheated out of it; and everybody is to blame because they’re (somehow) dumber and lazier than him.
Jack’s inferiority complex is so extreme that it requires literally everyone else alive to conform to being the only thing he can imagine feeling superior to - And that bar gets lower every day that he wakes up with more blood jello than brains; because he’s simultaneously enfeebled and a destructive heap of trash who can’t create anything of value, possibly due to being a homunculus without a soul. We should be thankful he produced only two offspring to burden future generations.

Jack’s entire output has become ritualistically denying the reality that he’s a butterball of a make-a-wish kid who refuses to die; skating by as a blatant charity case who throws tantrums if his wife (and, by extension, her parents) doesn’t max out a credit card producing his insane YouTube videos she has to know are only “enjoyed” by us. Ironically, Jack’s narcissistic unwillingness to accept that his legacy is Google summarizing his videos and cooking as “generally considered to be terrible” is what drives him to perpetuate and cement it; because he has not a damned thing to be proud of.
Oh, but one of these days, Jack is going to plagiarize a trending TilTok food hack that will earn him everybody’s respect and their acknowledgement that people were wrong about him the entire time. And Jack will be able to treat his in-laws to a Big Mac and receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from God Dad Trump Himself - At which point Jack will stand up out of his wheelchair (revealed to be a throne of boys) and flex his pecs while Tammy and a pastor renew her vows to give him steady pussy.
My point is that, if enough of Jack’s doctors told Tammy that she could expect him to live another ten years, he’d be divorced or dead tomorrow. Every time we see her giant ass in a video slurping a rope of cheese down and mooing “is gud”, we’re seeing a rube honoring what is always potentially Fatty’s final wishes.

Quitting the HVAC job has to be the dumbest one of them all. HVAC makes gangbusters in the States and both Hammy and Jack Junior would have been making a comfortable amount of money instead of doing whatever the fuck they are doing right now. Granted, I'm not much of a cheap hire considering I generally ask for $20+ as a minimum (in the IT field), but even I had an interest of doing HVAC between getting my first degree and getting my second degree.

To clarify - yes, Tammy is allowed to drink, Jack isn't. I like this because it is one way Jack's little lies about himself are turned around and hurt him.
Then again, Tammy occasionally touches cactus if it's on the table so... is it really a win?
I've been fighting the urge to cow tip and tell Jack to stop making Tammy eat the food he orders, and it makes his food channel illegitimate, but he would just block me and ignore it so fuck it.
But it does make his channel suck.
If you run an eating out food channel YOU have to eat the food. YOU have to review the food. You do not get to shovel it into your wife and act smug, you rotund FUCK.
As to HVAC, I spent my afternoon yesterday getting a window unit to stop pissing water into a bedroom. The obstruction was a FUCKING LEAF.
The insides of that AC were horrible and if I had to do that for work, I would not live long.
Like the "exhaust port" for the AC was the size of one kitkat stick. The leaf was jammed all up in that fucker. I had to use a gun kit to clear it.
Thankfully youtube warned me about the sharp edges and to get a sawhorse set up in the yard before starting.
