And his explanation - vainly cropping his video to hide the fucked up filthy portions of the vault that are typically off camera (and this not picked up or cleaned) - makes total sense. Him defaulting to his memorized key combo for disabling the camera on OBS instead of disabling the camera on Zoom also makes sense.

Given that Stearns county issued a nationwide warrant for Ethan Ralph recording a hearing, they'd surely have no problem going after Balldo given that he's a party to the case he is alleged to have recorded. a. Nick is recording this hearing for later attempts to mock Aaron once he wins. This is something he could ask for and the entire Dabbleverse would trip over themselves to provide to him.
b. Nick is using his exact same setup he uses for live streams and manages to fuck up, like everything else he does in life.

You can have recorded this hearing using Streamyard and there would be no way for the courts to ever know and it wouldn't require the use of OBS.

Nick turned off his camera so he could sperg out to the Barneswalker because Nick didn't want to agree to the gag order, he instinctively used his Whippits button to turn off his camera in OBS instead of turning off the camera in Zoom, which changed his video feed to the OBS logo which still showed through Zoom.
