The idea of the Bene Gesserit being adopted as a feminist screed is fucking hilarious since the entire goal of the BG was to create a man who could compensate for the literal physical incapability of being a woman. Further, a single woman loving her husband more than the cabal of catty, manipulative women was enough to completely dismantle said cabal and its goals.

It's sort of funnier then that in that they also planned to sexually enslave the ubermench-with-precognitive-powers and the chief reason they lost control over Paul was because they were so pissed over Jessica fucking up their plan Mother Mohiam decided to ignore how exceptional he was and they did fuck all to keep his family being ganked by the Harkonnen/Corrino to bet on Feyd Rautha instead.

I don't think that was really the intended reading of the Sisterhood's actions because Herbert loved his oversexualized Jewish/Catholic dommy mommies and spent the next 5 books trying to make them not completely retarded but it's hard to come to a different interpretation then "power tripping shrill harpies: the faction"

This theme here is why the first book is head-and-shoulders above any of the others. Humanity has progressed to the point where all these factions have near-perfect indomitable plans, but they’re still human so the one minor detail they overlooked becomes their total undoing.
