Because unless Anisa took these put of order it doesn't look like he's actually sanding anything because 1. That sandpaper should show some wear/wood dust and 2. Icuckz black shirt should be covered in wood dust black shirts are like a magnet for that and finally 3. If they are trying to imply that Ian is sanding that piece of wood to repair any of those wooden tables or chairs with that piece of wood its too thin in comparison to the wood used in the tables and chairs. Also, if he is somehow attempting to repair something with that wood, I'm calling it 100% that he's not gonna put any sealer on it, and it'll rot almost immediately.

To add to the woodworking sperging. Imagine him trying to sand while the wood is balanced over the end of that small lip of wood on the underside of that table seems like the worst setup possible. His hand forced to endure both the vibrations and the torque as the wood wobbles. Why not flip the table over and use it as a make shift bench?
