Amy Klobuchar was actually a favorite of mine for this, but she dropped the ball on a speech trying to tackle Trump, and if they're trying to farm out a dark horse, these little things will matter to the string pullers.

Their problem is that since they always vote D, it doesn’t matter if they vote D again. The only party that they can influence is the Democrats by threatening not to vote for them, they’re completely irrelevant to the Republicans.

Also, whenever they complain about their gibs being cut off, everyone else’s reaction is not “oh how horrible, their kids will starve thanks to evil Orange Man” but rather “THEY WERE GETTING HOW MUCH?!?!?”.

Insanity has been defined as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” But maybe neoliberals are getting the results they want. Why else would they undermine local police and import massive numbers of criminals from the Fifth World as they disarm law-abiding citizens? Surely it can't be just due to sheer psychosis.

What they want is global revolution that pushes the bar so far left that we go back to living in caves or in nomadic tribes, because they're following a Gnostic-adjacent philosophy that says we can only return to our true selves once we've stripped away everything that could people into an "oppressed" and "oppressor" class--ignoring the fact that even animals have the capacity to take "more than they need".

My counter-argument would be glorious RETVRN to high trust society, elimination of low-wage foreign workers, and some means of feeding hungry workers (not necessarily with food waste).

You can say corporations shouldn't have to take care of their workers in that way, but I'd say fuck corporations, Americans deserve higher quality, higher availability jobs.

I don't disagree, fundamentally, and I worked with plenty of people who could handle that without abusing the system, but the bottom quintile will always fuck things up for everyone else. My Club's bakery used to let people take an occasional expired cake, they're not actually bad, until people started purposefully hiding ones that were close to their sell by date. People suck.

It's funny how harmless these people were back in the day - now they're 15 years older, jaded, radicalized, and over represented in government.

Not really, Israel has brought a lot of this hate on itself over the past two years. You can't pull the shit those blood thirsty fucks have pulled and not expect a lot of people to be some pissed off at you. I don't give a shit about brown people at all, but what is going on there is beyond any sort of justified response. Not to mention a lot of questions about Israel allowing oct 7th to happen. IDF will snipe a 12 year old kid if he throws a rock across the border, but we are suppose to believe they didn't notice any sort of build up planning?

I don't have any sort of feelings about jews in general, I don't hate them, i don't love them, but i sure as fuck hate the current Israeli government, and I think Bibi and his goofy bitch of a wife should be tried and strung up by a court of law.
