To a fractional degree, she isn't wrong. American Medical Schools are shite and completely gatekept to lock anyone not wealthy out. The little thing nobody tells you about being doctor is that it's fucking EXPENSIVE to become a doctor. You have to be from a wealthy family to do it in America. Its virtually impossible otherwise. You're taking out hundreds of thousands of dollars. We don't produce doctors fast enough and it's a massive problem. The way the collegiate system and licensing operates HAS to be reformed.

Her premise may be correct, but her conclusion certainly isn’t. If the problem is “American medical education is fucked,” the solution is “let’s unfuck it” not “let’s import millions of pajeets.” At most, the latter is a stopgap solution to fulfill demand while America implements the former.

But frankly, I strongly suspect that she’d be advocating for this even if American medical education was perfect.

the seolution to "america isn't training enough physicians" is to start training more physicians, not to outsource the training of your physicians to shithole countries.
and it's not like there's a lack of interest in this field, med schools get so many applications that they can be ultry selective about who they accept and still operate at full capacity.
if you need more doctors, open more med schools (or expand existing ones)

What really gets me is that there’s such an obvious, glaring danger to relying on foreign countries to fulfill your doctoral needs. If you ever have beef with that country, they can close the metaphorical spigot and you’re deprived of a crucial resource. And that’s not even mentioning the potential fifth column issue.

It’d seem silly to do it with something like military, just look at how well that worked for the Romans, but for some reason that issue never enters the conversation with other necessary professions. I guess globalism and “end of history” nonsense has really fucked some people’s minds to the point they think such conflict is impossible. Sad!

These people, Dan Carlin included, will publicly claim that we are under a full fascist rule while saying it on social media or in the street standing in front of police. Then log off or go home and literally nothing happens to them.
