I think it's already happening, but also AI written articles then getting fed into AI training data is a major potential problem. Iirc they even do some work to try and strain out data for non-AI made inputs because it can run a game of Chinese whispers. Each iteration becoming less representative of the origin; more distorted.

One thing I've been thinking of with AI recently too is in relation to lie detectors and polygraph tests. The original polygraph is flawed, but with AI and more means of measuring a person's physiology, I can't help but wonder if there are government programs working to incorporate more biometrics into a kind of improved polygraph that also uses AI to try and decern whether or not someone is being truthful or not. Just googling around before I could find that AI lie detectors that are known about now are apparently better at spotting a person who is lying than the average person is. Those lie detectors are just going off of videos though, but imagine incorporating things like near-infrared vein visualizers, EEGs and more in conjunction with what a polygraph can already measure to make something far more capable.
