I can only imagine how frustrated natives of Rome or Toronto or Dearborn must feel.
I lived in Toronto for just shy of 30 years before moving south of the border. Genuinely, I can't describe the feeling. Sadness, anger, frustration. It's not a livable city anymore. I'm pro-immigration, I think a healthy, well-regulated, well-functioning immigration system is good for a country's economy and culture. Keeps things moving, you know? I'm an immigrant myself! Got my green card in America.
That said, The Century Initiative has destroyed Canada. It destroyed Toronto and it destroyed my home. 5 years of complete open borders, unfettered, mass, human tidal wave immigration and what do we have for it? Several million line cooks, grocery baggers, uber drivers, and scammers. There's now rampant casteism, old world sectarianism, foreign conflicts being fought on Canadian soil because the feds thought it was just dandy to import millions of jeets from the exact same area, with no forethought of any sort.
I don't think Canada will ever recover. Economically, culturally, or anything. It's done, dead. I'm not saying there's anything particularly sacred or special about being white, but just to illustrate the point: When I was a kid, Ontario was 84% white. It's now below 50% white. The exurb where my parents still live, that just a few years ago was the subject of jokes over how white it was, is now ~40% Indian. Bramladesh is looking to be around 90% Indian nowadays. It's all just Indians from either U-P or Punjab. That's it. It's not "diverse" to have sprawling mono-ethnic enclaves that want nothing but to replicate that ass backwardness of their shithole villages back home.
The GTA now has thousands upon thousands of the same shitty Indian restaurant because the government does not give one fuck about LMIA fraud. The largest immigration rate in modern history and they couldn't even scrape a functioning skilled economy off that. Shared services, medical, transit, etc... are all at the breaking point because the feds thought it was a better idea to attract "students" and low cost, disposable, ultra-low skilled menial labour. Your domestic skilled labour, actual Canadian citizens are fleeing the second they can. I'm a scientist, I moved south of the border the day after I defended. Over half of my friends (we're all white collar of some sort) have left the country, most to the US, so have a couple of my family members. It's the economy of Europe with the public amenities of America. The worst of both. And Canadian Boomers and Gen Xers ate this shit up and asked for more. They are hopelessly addicted to cheap Indian slop and 1000%+ returns on a house they bought decades ago.
What a fucking joke. RIP Canada. It was nice knowing you.
