Everything I have a heavy distaste for has probably already being mentioned but I’ve decided to open my whining woman mouth anyway to complain.

- Beige anything. I don’t think this needs an explanation other than it’s ugly. I blame all that Kardashian bullshit.

- BBLs and the like, particularly on certain ethnic groups. Why cater to men who aren’t attracted to the natural form of a woman from your own ethnic group if not for money? Why walk around with your arse looking like a solid brick of fat? It just looks awful.

- Trad wives. I’m all for a woman who’d prefer to stay at home and raise her children, but so many of these girls and women just seem to be using men to leech off them for a pretty, comfortable life to post on Instagram. If dudes are into this then good for them? It just looks pathetic to me.

- Girlboss bullshit. Just do your job and do it to the best of your ability. Be good at it as a human, not as a woman. We can do great work, let the work show that itself.

- Be like the other girls, enjoy your makeup, pretty dresses and skincare if you want. I don’t give a shit. You’re not special if you do or don’t wear makeup or take some extra steps to care for yourself. It’s your money. Just don’t fuck up your face with surgery and injections unless you’re near deformed, it will almost always look like shit. And always do any of these things for yourself.

- Trying to find solidarity with men as a social group rather than with woman. This never works, they don’t look at you the same way they look at each other. I’m not saying don’t make friends with men, just don’t expect to fall back onto them if your life suddenly falls apart.

I miss being 10 years old hanging out with the boys and riding our Huffys in the woods. The last year everything was fun and innocent was at 12 yrs. old.

It was tough for me but I finally was able to allow myself some sisterhood among other women - I'm just not that social to begin with and had a tough time getting over the bullying I had experienced as a kid at the hands of other girls.

But solid advice that I would echo. Don't rely on men for friendship. Even the gay ones. My father and husband are different, but those are men who have a tangible stake in my well being.

I hate, when the same sport clothes, shoes and equipment come in different colour palettes for mens' and womens' sizes.
Like, nothing wrong when men's sizes of sneakers don't come in peach, salmon and hot pink cos who'd buy that, but ladies' sizes often don't come in basic colours like black, grey, or the common 'male coded' ones like mustard/gold (as my dad calls it, hitlerjugend diarrhea yellow). Lol, a huge flashing “fuck you Salomon” appeared in my head before I even finished reading. Honestly, it hurts both sides. For example, my husband is a big fan of pastel, muted colors (beige, dusty blue, etc), I'm on the opposite (blacks, whites, reds). So Salomon's color lineup is totally inverted for us, lol. If we're lucky, we might grab the smallest/biggest size from the opposite section, but I'd prefer to not rely on luck for that.

Another part of it, I think, is that very few women who HAVEN'T been harmed or abused by men in some way are aware of how strong they actually are. It's always very eye opening and kind of scary when men do that "OK, I have your wrist, get free." thing that older brothers/some dads do. I was having a hard time finding a nice looking wallet thats not that huge, has a zippered coin department and also fits some cards. I don't really like carrying an additional bag with me all the time.

If you go to a conventional department store you can usually find all kinds of conventional wallets that are wallet-sized. Search women's wallets at Macy's or something similar.

This sounds a little skewed. So many celebrities have had work done that it's really hard to find ones who haven't. If you ask a man to name someone attractive but not famous, there's still a good chance he'll name someone who hasn't had work done, but naturally has the features that work (or, frankly, makeup) are meant to emulate. Unless, of course, your social circle all has had surgery or injections, but you get my point.

It's like that claim that men don't actually like no makeup or natural makeup. They do, they just like it on people who already have the features that allow for it. If you don't have those features, and attempt to emulate them with a high-maintenance hair and makeup routine, the attraction won't be sustained and they'll say that weird thing about taking a woman swimming on the first date.

In short, already attractive people are attractive. Water is wet. I guess this is why some feminists say the only winning move is to not play - avoid cosmetics, men, or both.

They get a nose job or a facelift and it makes them look great, so they go ham with the nips and tucks and start looking more and more uncanny as they age. I think part of it must be plastic surgeons upselling rich people on surgeries they don't need, kinda like some dentists will perform unnecessary root canals so they can take their kids to Disney.

Very rarely, some celebs manage to reverse the effects of drugs and excessive fillers and surgeries. Lindsay Lohan is a recent example. She was looking botched there for a while, but whoever her new surgeon is has worked some magic on her, and she looks like her old self again.

I don't have an issue with people having big weddings if they can afford it, but I think it's wild that they're viewed as a necessity like a home or a car, rather than a luxury. I know recent college graduates who've spent 15k or more of their parents' money on their wedding, and the marriage didn't even make it a year.

Not even a century ago, people would just wear their nicest clothes and go down to the courthouse. Now, spending hundreds of dollars on a dress you only wear once is considered the bare minimum. The wedding industry is crazy.

What's this trend about paying to send your kid to a children's birthday party in addition to buying a present? I think that's insane. Parents shouldn't have parties they can't afford. I can understand having it like a picnic and asking everyone to bring some food or drink. But an entrance fee to a kiddie party at someone's home? There's tons of low cost/no cost activities and smaller kids won't know the difference between that and expensive ones anyway.
