doesn't need to be a hellhole, having bad care and it being cause is enough.

these guys followed all the rules and still got cited because of using the wrong cage.
mald let his ferrets suffocate and overheat, and there's room to argue for them being mishandled other times, or contracting disease, especially when they're missing the required paper trail ( CFR states you must have health logs pertaining to treatment schedules, ontop of logs of why the fuck your animals died -

USDA, there's a lot more laws he violated
here, even without a license he proactively fails perception checks(no license = no oversight -> prefail, ontop of lack of a license. and from what i gather you dont need a license per 50, dont know why
fatty here said so ).
this could be seen as a stretch but: public reporting of animal deaths aren't a joke to the aldf, and we have it(mald's reports) archived in the thread.
also the aldf isnt a shitty little group, they're involved in the biggest universities, they've lobbied federal laws and are a real watchdog non profit.

ALDF made lawsuits against the usda for not doing a good enough job in the past, so i wouldn't take these articles too lightly. even though no legal repurcussions came out for some the content creators, their internet presence was basically bleached as a result.
tldr: there's a few related routes; federal, state, and non government entities. Policies and guidelines all tie together and reference eachother frequently whether's its the washington code, federal code, or animal welfare acts. mald fails all checks.
