But that's the reasoning behind his stance on anti-SKG always being a goalpost move and contradicting his own arguments to look good for his corporate friends. I'd say this is a huge part of his fall in the public eye, you can't respect someone who is so inauthentic that they're true self basically doesn't exist.

So many people were willing to overlook stuff like his glazing of blizzard and amazon, constant gooning and being an mmo nolifer, fuck some of those probably endeared him to specific, "less savory" normie crowds. But put that together with his complete lack of integrity and respect for others, and you've got someone who nobody will treat with respect.

Agreed, but there's more than narcissism at play here. As for the genetic aspect of narcissism, I know children of narcissists who aren't narcissistic at all, or have learned to manage it well, so it might not only be genetic.

If you've ever worked with kids, you'll quickly notice some of them have weird behaviors, and when you met their parents, everything makes sense.

I can trace a lot of my own qualities and flaws to my own parents, some of those traits took decades to manifest in my behavior, because they are responses to external situations. Sleeper reactions are still latent within me, waiting for the right trigger. But there is no excuse to perpetuate the weaknesses of our parents, who they themselves partially inherited them from their parents.

I don't know where I'm going with this but, it's on us to be aware that shitty people's behavior is partially based on what they inherited, and to have compassion for that, but to also help them understand that there are constructive alternatives to their unbalanced behavior. And if they don't take the necessary steps to clean up their behavior, there is no reason to keep them in our lives.

I'll be 100% honest, I'm not interested enough to watch Shaye's content to get a grasp on what kind of person she is, but maybe I should.
The impression I got is quiet and withdrawn "horse girl" type, only in this case it's being a furry and drawing cub R18 as a teenager. The "secret wife" and cheating reveal drama obviously upset her, but she decided to defend him instead of growing a spine and that says a lot. Now, almost a decade later she's tied to him financially and lives in his house without a ring or anything. Depending on him financially might be an understatement, he is both her boss and her landlord, and they live kind of isolated + we've seen how possessive Mald is.

You're underestimating how popular ARGs are, and the fact that the indie-space is full of them, most famously the Enscryption ARG, and this trend started with Scott Cawthon turning FNaF into a series of ARGs. Jason also clearly really likes ARGs, given how much he likes Defcon, which is just an ARG but the AR is that you're a 1337 hax0r. It's a little surprising he never did anything with Night Mind, considering the infamous Night Mind Fredrick Knudsen meet-up.

and of course he mentions the POOR POOR BRAZILIANS that totally exist and don't have 5 bucks for a used second hand GPU that can compile shaders but somehow have enough money to buy his dogshit undertale clone.

His game has variable pricing in different countries to try to "be considerate of the local economy", so it's likely he really does have a significant amount of Brazilian purchases. The question would be how easy is it to spoof your location on Steam, and how many furries are in Brazil?
