Hell, just the coldness of some hospitals will make your circulation show 94-96ish %. Cold hands affect its sensitivity too.
The munchies with Raynauds (incredibly common in women) love it because it gives an artificially low reading if you use a finger pulse ox. Vicky's playing in the little leagues here. Come back when you're claiming you're at 50% oxygen but still magically able to tweet, Vic. That's how you munch.

Yep, not to PL but I have Raynauds. My hands and feet are as cold as death. Difference is I know that and will just attempt to warm my hand under the blanket/my hoodie sleeve etc.

Health is a gift from God, so it's a little MATI-inducing to see Vicky wish herself sick so often.
What would happen if she got a real serious condition? Would she regret these years she wished herself to be sick?

Idk all the people I know who have ever dealt with serious life-limiting illness were well on the side of "I want to get better and live as long as I can" and did whatever they could to effect that, unless it was well and truly sealed for them and death was imminent. In which case they weren't in any position to be Twittering about how dire their situation is.

Love to see her observing a NICU nurse proceeding leisurely and sanguine as the alarm chimes and the monitor reads 90, 86, 82.

"Oh for cryin out- We just went over this. Come on you little rascal."

(Vigorous jostling.)

"That's better. Now cut that out."

Surely state insurance won't cover this bullshit?
Prepare yourself for disappointment.

Remember, not only does Medicaid cover teet yeeting and stinkditches, it covers mass misuse of emergency facilities by illegals who want a note for work and free OTC meds because "mi cuerpo tiene dolor." And don't forget bottomless Sprites and turkey sammiches for Hobo Hank.

She’s the kind of lazy munchie wannabe that I could see wanting to end up in LTC - getting a roof over her head, carers to dote on her, never having to do anything for herself again.

Meanwhile the nurses would be at the nurses station cursing her existence in Tagalog.

Even if we ignore the fact that any minuscule discomfort is her kryptonite, her parents have on numerous occasions offered to pay for a care home, a nice one, where nurses actually do dote on you. She screeched and raged and threatened to cut contact every time. And the one time she was in some rehab of sorts she ran away. She doesn't want to be that kind of sick that fucks with one's abillity to be a gross Neet. Anywhere that has daily scheduled activities and dietary restrictions and nurses monitoring your screen time isn't going to work for her.

Tweeting through mild discomfort dying.

I’m a little confused as to why Vicky can’t pass a single class in college when she clearly has a medical degree already.

Honestly, though, right now the hospital and whatever dumb version of defensive medicine they’re practicing are kind of pissing me off just as much as Vicky’s histrionics. She’s clearly fine, vitals are unremarkable - just kick her fat ass out on the street already.

One factor that influences the measurement of static inspiratory pressure is effort.3 A patient must make maximum effort and the reproducibility of results does not assure maximum effort.

Effort isn't exactly her strong suit, and the test is very easy to "throw."

Same here. And I know people will smirk that it's "rich people insurance" and greed but I don't necessarily think so. I've seen plenty of actually ill people with fantastic insurance get their complaints downplayed. And affluent cancer patients yeeted as fast as possible after surgery. How the hell is she getting to hog a bed on med/surg for a whole week? How is she getting all these ridiculous tests, especially when they keep coming back negative? Is it possible she isn't really in a hospital at all, but is narrating a bizarre Walter Mitty fantasy from a Marriott somewhere?

I wonder if respiratory suggested bipap because the average person who doesn’t need that is not going to tolerate it so it’d blow her cover, oh and it’d shut her up.

I’m glad they are kicking her out of a telemetry bed.

”I can’t breathe” 2025 version incoming.

There she is, holding her breath for… reasons, clearly DYING, but what do those ableist radiologists suggest is the problem? Kek, breathing restricted by Vicky being FAT.

I'm so angry we don't have video of this. Vicky bent over with "retractions" and breathing with her back muscles. Vicky ceasing to breathe for several minutes and her oximeter dropping to the near-deadly 95%. Vicky holding up her phone to show the google search results to her bigoted doctors. It's so unfair that we only get hints from Vicky herself instead of being able to actually see it.

Probably there's some liability rule she's taking advantage of. Remember she's a (former) little rich girl, so despite being retarded she can probably hint at enough legal threats to make the doctors just roll their eyes and keep her, for a while at least. She's "homeless" as well, so it's probably a matter of not being able to guarantee a safe discharge.

(What I don't get is why Vicky is so terrified of catching covid. She seems to want to be in hospital and unable to breathe, but she's always rolling around in a stupid-looking mask so she doesn't catch the Wu Flu? A covid infection + her immense obesity might actually necessitate a real ER trip, and she's throwing that all away!)

I suspect she's playing the "unsafe discharge" card as much as she can, aided this time by actually appearing to be homeless.

Don't forget it's a federal holiday and then a weekend. A lot of Admin is probably out of office this week. There's probably a big email chain about ensuring Vickie's discharge sticks, and doesn't come back to bite the hospital in the butt, and it's waiting on Quality or a department head to get back online.
