A confident and competent (hu)man can comfortably admit when wrong, and when appropriate will do so gracefully and quickly, and will give credit to the correct information and who supplied it.

He actually did that with me once even. People like arguing about whether he was always like he is now, but he definitely didn't ACT like he now acts, at least not often. It was a really minor correction on some procedural thing that I had researched recently, and pretty technical, so it wasn't an ego-bruising kind of thing to be slightly wrong on, but he did correct it and gave credit.

He also used to take some pretty intense insults from KV people and seemed completely unbothered by it. Now, to some extent it's just that he didn't respect those people, so maybe it was when people he respected, or used to respect, that he melted down. I don't think so, though, because he now falls to pieces even when some idiot disagrees with him.

The stark contrast between his demeanor then and now is part of why people aren't always just joking when they speculate he's possessed by demons.
