1: Discovery will be a bitch for him. I’d imagine all sorts of embarrassing shit will come out about him and Kayla.

2: How fucking unlikeable and detestable he is. There isn’t a jury in Minnesota that’ll look at this case, and give Nick more than very nominal damages.

Pretty much. If they go in for ridiculous damages EVERYTHING gets to come in. Drugs, swinging, child abuse reports and they'll need to unpick why that photo, which nobody has, shared with 1 person, was really what caused Kayla harm.

Nick does have a guaranteed win though. A criminal plea basically means he doesn't need to prove the act in the civil case, so it skips straight to damages. I said at the time Aaron was dumb for taking the plea because without Geno and Keanu there was a zero chance of conviction.

Yet, I'd be surprised if a Judge awarded more than 10k. Also, if they go in for stupid high damages, the Judge can refuse to award lawyer fees. So, imagine, Nick spends 40k in fees to get 10k from Aaron, but since he asked 250k the Judge declines to award fees, or not full fees, so Nick still comes out at a net loss.
