Public disorder broke out in Ballymena in Northern Ireland, with police saying a number of missiles had been thrown towards officers after crowds gathered near the site of an alleged sexual assault in the town.

The unrest follows a protest in the area, about 30 minutes’s drive from the capital city of Belfast, earlier on Monday evening, the police statement said, adding damage had been reported to a number of properties.
Police advised motorists and pedestrians to avoid the Clonavon Road area and said they would remain on the scene to monitor the situation.

“We are urging everyone to remain calm and to act responsibly,” said chief superintendent Sue Steen. “Violence and disorder will only place people at greater risk. Our priority is to keep the community safe, and I would appeal to everyone to work with us to bring calm to the area as quickly as possible.”

Local media reported people with their faces masked were seen throwing masonry and a police car had two of its windows smashed.

Protesters gathered after two boys appeared in court after an alleged serious sexual assault in Clonavon Road, media reported.

On Sunday, police announced that detectives investigating a serious sexual assault on a teenage girl in the adjacent Clonavon Terrace area of Ballymena had charged two teenage boys.

I don't wanna incite anyone to do anything illegal and get Null in trouble....

...but fuck 'em, I'm glad, if rapefugees had to consider that their house might burn down, bet they'd rape a whole lot less. A sword of Damocles, of sorts.

Do we even need to play "guess the race" here? I noticed they're being especially coy about the description of the "teenaged boys" in the article.

:optimistic::optimistic::optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:
No they wouldn't. This attitude is even "justified", rapefugees neither suffer consequences of their crimes nor [see anyone] get rewarded for hard work (which is why their places are shitholes). Like those experiments where disadvantaged children are promised two pieces of candy if they can abstain from eating one for five minutes: they're correct, because their whole life experience says the adult will scam them and they'll get jack shit.

What makes this a riot in the UK but in America it's just "peaceful protestors having fun watching cars burn"? That it's not browns rioting and waving around the flags of hostile remittance leeches?

Looks fiery but mostly peaceful to me. I say we allow the indigenous population to enforce their own cultural standards.
After all, how does it affect you personally?
(Am I doing this right? I know none of it applies if white…)

How's the IRA doing? Are they rearming?
Sitting in government and collecting good paychecks, I'd assume. Most long retired, so who knows if there is even a sizable fighting force left. However, the soft underbelly of the IRA and other Euro terrorist outfits is that they are leftist at their core, and vulnerable to the oppressor/oppressed dialectic. They are heavily into Palestinian solidarity, or just sympathy for Third Worldist causes. Their heyday was at a time where this stance had no practical relevance, but once they achieved many of their goals in the 90s, it became a liability as they welcomed all kinds of oppressed people in the mistaken belief they were importing allies. Catalonia in Spain is a prime example; it is filled with foreigners, and they are militantly pro migrant even as their demographic situation goes to hell. But they'd rather import Obongo and Abdul than Juan and Diego. They are trapped in a frame of mind that's doing them a lot of harm. The same vulnerability is wrecking Ireland, although you can the growing resistance there. Ireland's chances seem better than other Euro countries.

It seems like they all have no chance, to be fair.
Looking at how fast the Overton window is shifting and how taboos around immigration are crumbling in both the US and Europe, things look more hopeful than five years ago. It's not going to be easy, but it seems peoples' patience is seriously exhausted. This "public disorder" just wouldn't have happened in 2015 or 2020, yet here we are.

PSNI ACC "said that members of the minority ethnic community “feel fear” and there will be a significant policing operation in the town in the coming days to reassure the community."

Apparently there was a rape (not "just" an attempted one) in the town about a week ago too.
