I think you're reading into that incorrectly. I imagine he is probably thinking exactly what I thought when she said that, despite being a woman myself... women who say they're spiritual generally connotates to 'I like astrology/New Age/vague beliefs that don't adhere to actual moral structures'. Obviously I don’t think that is what K meant, and to be fair that's a hard question to answer if you have some belief in God/objective morality but aren't in organized religion.
