The funniest part is that Nick would kill to switch places with Kurt. But instead of being single and well-compensated, he lives off his grandfather’s hard-earned money and is stuck with a wife and kids he hates. You’d need a heart of stone not to laugh.

The reason people are hesitant to give him credit for keeping his shit together is because he has enough of a horror factor to become a horrorcow and the only reason he hasn't is that he doesn't sperg out easily enough when poked.

The problem isn't that he didn't do something good with it, he built a whole family and racked up a stockpile of money to help provide for it, that's all one could ask of a person.
The problem is that he did do something good with it and then pissed it all away with swinging and drug abuse.

He got an insane amount of help from the sheer unlikability of Greer, Maddox, and the KickVic crew to say nothing of the hot deets given for free by many farmers. After having burned through all of that support and goodwill all he has to show for it is piles of money set aflame, both for him/his family, and Vic Lasagna. The only ones who got away clean from his doom spiral are Ty Beard and The Toe.

It came across as a joke to me. But Kurt is monotone and doesn't understand social clues so who knows. But he does state that he's looking for a woman around his age, I think the "18 and older only - unless you don't have to cross state lines in which case it's 17 and older" or whatever was just a joke about the law. "No illegal bitches please", basically.

Nick paraphrasing it as "Kurt wants to give 17 year old girls wine and pizza casserole and then rape them" is some bullshit, obviously. It's funny, when Nick says something it means narrowly and precisely only what the literal definition of the words are. But when someone else says something everything is to be interpreted as broadly as possible while making as many bad faith inferences as you can.

His family is destroyed, he is in legal trouble with what used to be his wife and he now has an entire community of alogs, some of which are apparently allowed on panels at public events to show off their 'trophies' from his destroyed marriage. I wouldn't exactly call this 'getting away clean'.

It's one of those things where I think Kurt's bookish intelligence and legal knowledge outstrips his social skills.

That still puts him way ahead of Nick in my book though, because Nick is completely borked on both. Hence his current situation.

I think @Balldo's Gate is correct that Aaron has a bit of a issue in that he's not terribly interesting outside him talking about Rekieta.

Whereas Kurt has considerably more range. That TB interview, followed by the interview of TB's attorney, weren't half bad.

BTW, Kurt has Court TV's Vinnie Politan lined up for his show on Wednesday. More seething inbound.

You're not wrong; DSP tractors first learned of Aaron because Aaron found out about DSP and even had a "We're gonna shake the can, hit the goal and we'll keep going." Didn't like him back then, and then wondered why that idiot was now getting involved with Rekieta. Sure he's come out looking better than both Phil and Nick at this point, but the point stands.
