Compared to Nick, Kayla looked actually more healthy on that last picture. Gained weight, seems to be eating well again. Which is a positive sign.
Since we don't see or hear anything about her, except from Nick, it is hard to say how well her recovery went.

But just on the off-chance that she is doing well, staying close to Nick who is already spiraling again, cannot end well for her.
