Adderall 10mg as needed? If this is for ADHD or narcolepsy, that seems a bit off-label. He’s probably taking the immediate-release (IR) version then, since extended-release (ER) formulations are typically used at most twice a day.

Also, you probably meant 30mg, not 30g—taking a thousand doses would be absolutely insane.

They're both Schedual II drugs in the US. Adderall can't be refilled without a new prescription, and it can't be filled early by law. When he runs out early, he's either going to be buying it illegally or finding another fix when he comes down from it and his judgement is even more impaired than usual. First of all, Adderall, even when IR, is almost always prescribed as 2 times a day or 3 times a day. Not “as needed”.

The maximum dose for treating ADD is btw 40 mg.

It’s a powerful sch 2 stimulant, and not something that’s typically prescribed as “Here’s 1/4th of the recommended daily dosage, that you can just take whenever!”

Adderall is almost exclusively used for narcolepsy and ADD. The latter is something Nick has said he doesn’t have/it isn’t prescribed for. The former is something he very obviously doesn’t have.
