- Lots of people in his social circles knew all about the cocaine. He was never outright about it because he wanted legal deniability. This deniability did not help him in the end because some people made up 'bullshit' that caused the raid.
- Pastor Melin sent a letter to Nick saying he was 'no longer his pastor' and was a general 'dick' with nothing nice to say about him
- Nick does not have the whole report, and there was more than he is still learning about. The leaker broke the law to leak it.
- The reporters who got him raided were NOT from the church. Nick knows who they are. Each of the reports had some truth, but were still lies. It was motivated by their concern about his relationship with April. They got the government to police his personal relationship. One person supposedly told the police that their goal in reporting was 'to take the children away'--per Nick. Nick has close contact with these people all the time.
