I remember seeing multiple times of The Base (the group this guy infiltrated) stating that he was behind the whole goat beheading thing. He gave them LSD and convinced them to go apeshit on the goat. Which coincidentally he "retired" (fired probably) right after the goat incident, but claims he just had enough adventures and needed to settle down.

The Base are retards but I'm more inclined to believe them over this guy selling his tell-all book as it sounds far more believable he'd do that. The timeline of him "retiring" after only 19 years at the FBI (joined in 2002 left in 2021) is also lining up with them claiming this guy instigated all of that. I also remember the 19 year old he busted even stating the same thing too in an interview I can't find now. It was on Vice or Atlantic.
