🌏 General Best and worst VTuber designs?

I barely know anything about VTubers, but I like looking at both the best and the worst designs. Can you spergs kindly post and sperg about what you like and dislike?

I feel like the best Vtuber designs are usually ones that have a simple harmony of color, enough detail to be distinctive, and a strong silhouette, which is for the most part just general character design philosophy.

Sakura Miko for example, its a fairly simple design in terms of what it is, but the shape of Silhouette is strong because there are multiple elements that stand out no matter the angles thanks to the clothes, and the simple adition of the ponytail on the side.
I cant really think of any design I like the most so I just used Miko as a good example of simple is for the most part the best choice.
As for bad designs I'll just post this, I don't think I have to tell you why its bad.

It looks straight out of a Persona 3 artbook. I love it.

Worst design goes to this woman in my opinion:

The mushroom cap goo dripping off is so gross. The hands look like she lost half her fingers. It really bothers me.

Fattubers always bother me but I dislike this one in particular

Nothing against these two as people by the way, I have no clue about their content, they might as well be wonderful human beings, just commenting on the model.

It became a bit of a running gag between me, and a group of my friends, to look up various tags on Twitter to see what awful vtuber design's we could find, usually tags like "#ENVtuber" or "#VtuberEN" or something along those lines.

Even made a drinking game out of repeated aspects we'd find in designs/character concepts.
Anyway, here's a genuinely terrible one just from a quick browse of "#ENVtuber" just now.


XaXa is an interesting case, I saw this nigga at some point last year commissioning fan art of himself with another weird coomer "tactical vtuber" (and I call Xaxa a "him" because his account has pronouns, and I assume any nigga who puts she/her in the bio, has a manly face trying to cover the lower half of it in selfies, and is a weird coomer, is a man.).
Even copying that coomer vtubers design with the combat shirt design Xaxa's character uses, now he's some VRChat coomer slop twitter poster.

Xaxa has a weird pantyhose / foot fetish, thats why there's these sheer pantyhose leggings the character wears btw.

as I mention, Xaxa's design is partially copied from another coomer vtuber, Whiskey Project, whose design is taken from a character named "Vesna" created by Korean guro shotacon artist, "Dutchko_"
This design is aids, as a gear autist, nothing irks me more than spats and fucking thigh holsters.

Yeah, you can see how copied these designs are.
Vesna, is often portrayed in extremely graphic gore/rape porn by Dutchko, Dutchko often draws "fan art" or commission work for Whiskey, by the way. He's also drawn weird gore art of Whiskey.

I'm a bit of a gear and gun and general... tactical autist? so, designs like these genuinely hurt my soul. There's so much cool shit that could be done and instead of an interesting military or militaristic design, it's just "this is my fetish be exposed to it."

A lot of the time, I find at least EN indie Vtubers all do the same fucking shit, "I'm a kitsune succubus demon goddess catgirl who is red and black and i have huge tits im also trans!" shit, it all ends up blending together

The design is objectively bad. Also faggy, because it's based on a character used for weird gore/shotacon "child soldier rape" porn. If you in anyway can consider Dutchko's art good, or anything based on his art as good considering this, you might be fucked in the head tbh.
