pretty sure the allies also hed jets (gloster meteor) at roughly the same time, they just didnt feel the need to mass produce them yet
No. The Gloster Meteor first flew in '43, and for the entirety of the war the RAF had one operational squadron of them, which stayed over the Isles for fear of the Germans shooting one down and capturing the wreckage.
because their existing planes could deal with 262s anyway, cuz while it had a higher top speed, it would take it a long time to reach it, and it couldnt turn very well because hitler ordered his guys to convert most of em into bombers, cuz he thought interceptors were too defensive and a sign of defeatism
No, it was because he thought a faster flying bomber could penetrate air defenses and GTFO better than existing ones. He wasn't wrong on that idea, but the Schwalbe wasn't the right airframe for that job. However, the Germans were also working on other jet-powered airframes for bombers, such as the Horten Ho. 229 and Arado AR 234, the latter of which DID get to see service at the end of the war.

oh, thanks for correcting me

tho the 262 wasnt a very good bomber, it would have been an incredible interceptor however

If anyone has followed the NGAD program for the last half decade, yeah Trump pushed it across the finish line. Technically the project started in 2014. Which means from 2016 to 2020 Trump was involved heavily. Then Biden came in and put it on the backburner. Some prototypes flew, but there should have been way more progress. NAFO fags can suck cock.

They love murica tech unless it’s related to orangler

But my heccin fellas at r/NCD told me that if a piece of military kit is technologically advanced then it must be the best thing around!
It’s only the best thing if it made in the us, as a response to a chuds county fake weapon

@Sargon's wife's son - not to get into milsom spergatory but the US overall had the best gear minus some of their cold weather gear.
The Sherman tank was built reliably and as a medium tank it did it's job well. People often try to compare it to a tiger when like they're not the same categories. The Tiger is a Heavy tank it's not fair to compare it to a Sherman. A more fair comparison would be the Panther or the panzer 4.
I'm fully aware this the Germans really never particularly excelled at anything besides some of the more fantastical weapons the Sherman also had an advantage that it was much easier to fix than the Panzer the Panzer you have to Tear the whole thing down to get to the engine compartment's the Sherman the engine compartments are very accessible they also have much more durable tracks.
Which is not something people mainly consider

They're angry they're geriatric senile uncle will go down history as one of the worst presidents along with President Bengobango Bongo.
Say what you will about Reagan and Trump but they will go down in history as memorable presidents no one can even remember anything relevant about Jimmy Carter

They didn't even excel at that, they excelled at wasting paper designing them, but couldn't ever get enough of them built and into working service to meaningfully turn the tide. Every gee-whiz German weapon had an Allied equivalent in R&D at the time. You just don't hear about those because the Allies realized early on that it was worth more to keep churning out 10,000 Shermans a month and just drowning the Germans in perfectly good working tanks instead of retooling those lines to produce "better" tanks that would have months of debugging and retraining to go through before they'd be as effective as what was out there in the parking lot right now. (The apocryphal joke is the German tank commander boasting that it takes 10 Shermans to knock out one Tiger, but, whenever the Americans attack? They always bring 12) German investment on superweapons to the point some of them are still household names is because their situation was so dire, nothing short of a working miracle weapon was gonna help them, and they couldn't even do that.

the Sherman also had an advantage that it was much easier to fix than the Panzer the Panzer you have to Tear the whole thing down to get to the engine compartment's the Sherman the engine compartments are very accessible they also have much more durable tracks.

Nobody considers logistics until they run out of gas. And the aforementioned Me262 was further hobbled by a slew of logistics issues. For one? Airstrips, they needed longer and smoother ones than the cleared grass fields lesser planes could easily land in. They also went through engines like crazy, there was less than 100 hours of life in a 262's engines before they needed an overhaul because there weren't the strategic resources to make the compressor blades out of durable metal and they had to go with cheaper alternatives.

no one can even remember anything relevant about Jimmy Carter
Carter's legacy was Ronald Reagan.... that burns the left up on the inside like you can hardly imagine. They were still salty about it even when he died. Instead of reflecting on the 92 years he spent OUTSIDE the White House actually doing meaningful things? They tried to manufacture an alternate Presidential legacy for him, one last time. Sorry, the lasting legacy of Carter was, despite being elected as the "adult in the room" of his day in opposition to the criminality and meanness of Nixon? He did such a bad job? The country turned right for 20 years in direct response to perceived fundamental weakness of Democratic leadership that while promising nice things and honest dealing? Couldn't solve problems or spent disproportionate energy solving "problems" for the photo ops while expanding bureaucracy to the detriment of the economy and being embarrassed on the world stage. Sound familiar yet?

Biden's gonna be even worse because his direct predecessor and successor were the same guy. There's no way historians are going to be able to twist away the fact that the guy you were directly hired to replace? Was called back to take your job. Biden's legacy is Trump and populism, no matter how hard they want to make it otherwise.

They're trying everything they can to create the narrative that this is a dark age for America but the reality is that Biden was so ungodly unpopular that people really felt like they had no choice but to vote for Trump again. Even now you see libs on Twitter who seem to be convinced that the election is still going asking why no one voted for Kamala, and then turning off the comments when the answers start coming in.
