It's sad to me. I know radical feminism has its fault, but this is the place where I finally truly understood what objectification is, a concept I've been hearing about for two decades, yet never understood it until larking at this site. Not everyone there were radical feminists, there were a lot of simply gender critical women. And the discussion were usually high quality. I haven't visited there in forever, but I am still sad to see it close.
I am shocked that she says this out loud. The gaslighting part, I mean. I am shocked that she says out loud that she wants to gaslight people. I guess she thinks it's justified because she is in mortal danger and she needs to be "save"? Or have they changed the definition of this word, too?

Fuck no. When #dropkiwifarms was an active shitstorm and Cloudflare dropped the farms and things were looking dire, 99% of the delicate pearl clutchers over there were all for it because the farms was Misogynist Racist Nazi Central and good riddance. The 1% who said anything positive about the farms got downvoted, screeched at, and sometimes even booted off the site for wrongthink. Fuck them.
I have only given one disagree reaction in my time here and that proposal just got it.

It wasn’t as strong a sentiment, or for the same reasons of course, but it was undeniably there. KF was bad and unmentionable. Too “right wing”. Too male! (As if, kek.) There was a genuine panic that they were going to be next too, which was just absurd. You couldn’t even post the word “tranny” there.

That is not what happened at all. Many users were and are in favour of the Farms.
It was far more balanced than you suggest and my impression is many see the farms as being in the same boat.
Also the site used to practice the anti-white hatred typical of libshits, but they have been allowing more and more based comments and posts (although there’s still one deranged anti white mod).
A few ethnics complain about these based comments and about their inability to hate white women with impunity, but they are becoming less and less common, which makes me think the idiot libshits have fled the site because it’s rayciss huwhite feminism.

I hypothesize that one of the many risk factors for trooning out is having a strong physical resemblance to your same sex parent when that parent has a very strong personality and you have a far more timid one.
Very specific but I have seen the pattern a few times too many to dismiss.

I think Ovaritt should've been more "extreme" (aka honest) about everything. Why would amyone wanna use yet another site that makes you feel like you're walking on eggshells when they could come here instead, Tumblr, or on image boards? I can't stand radfems, I was baffled how you can't even insult troons on that site. You can insult men all you want but God forbid you call a troons mutilated netherregions a stinkditch or rot pocket or really anything negative.
I see it shutting down as a neutral endeavor. It means nothing.

Correct me if Im wrong but wasn't ovarit like mumsnet in that it was primarily middle aged women talking about schooling and children? I don't think they would be okay here given the nature of the site but they could go on crystal.cafe or any of the various other terf sites if they wanted (except maybe lolcow.farm, the Luigi mangione rape threads are offputting to say the least). I think terfs especially uk terfs are pretty well connected social media wise so the userbase will survive this and not just dissipate.

I also hated how they'd almost always gave TIFs excuses for their behavior. There were posts where they were blaming men for making TIFs want to transition. Sure, I have sympathy for those who were either raped or molested when they were younger, but the ones who choose to transition after one guy was catcalling you or was staring at your breasts is enough to make you want to fuck up your entire body then clearly there were other issues than that.

Give the Ovarit ladies a chance. Many women on the verge of peaking, myself included, thought of the farms as "that evil misogynistic nazi website" before we spent time here. I used to give trannies lots of chances and excuses too, even while my doubts grew. And I convinced myself even I was still "on the right side" even when the evidence became insurmountable -- all of that, until I was truly forced to witness the kinds of people and stories we document here. The lovely thing about this website is it's really the only place on the internet where everyone is entitled to their own opinion, given a chance to back that opinion up with facts, and ALSO where everyone else has leeway to make fun of them if their opinion is retarded.
Sure, some of Ovarit's members will not mesh with the site culture and they'll be appropriately run off, but I think it's worth it if we can get a few women to see the truth and change their minds.
