He was once "someone" in gaming, but that was ages ago and he wasted any goodwill he may have had. His claim to fame is he was on the payroll at Blizzard 20 years ago or so, took that notoriety to start a game studio, bought an expensive party bus and promptly drove the company into bankruptcy.
By all accounts, he's a horrific boss, and his new game project is a joke and a scam. He took an extended years long break without telling the backers who were continually donating to the project. It was supposed to have a playable demo years ago and when it finally released years late it was pure trash.

Starlink doesn't even work properly in Africa. Musk doesn't have nearly enough satellites to meet the capacity demands plus the satellites he does have keep breaking. Why is he happy that Iron Galaxy is reducing their employees? Iron Galaxy is a good studio. They've made a lot of really good games, such as Killer Instinct. They're working on tony hawk 3/4 remake, which looks pretty good.
