Did anybody post this almost 2 week old Papa Gut video? Sorry if late.

I remember him as a huge Destiny dickrider.

I watched some of his videos when he started to react to the Chris Chan series. Yep, he was always a big Destiny defender, he disagreed with some of his takes regarding consent if I'm not mistaken, as he though Destiny's takes were rapey, but he did indeed defend him most of the time.

No one had posted this video before but I watched it when it came out because I don't mind Papa Gut most of the time. The video might not be entirely worth the watch/reaction but he reacts like a human being: he's disgusted. He doesn't try to justify why he liked Destiny or thought he was smart or supported him; he just explains why he thought that at the time. Like a lot of people, he didn't know how deep the depravity goes and bought into the image Destiny presented to people not enmeshed in his community.

So, obviously, not a high bar to clear but given how people are still trying to present Destiny's side on this it's refreshing.

I do think he's bluffing somewhat. I almost don't want to give my thoughts on what he might do because he definitely reads the thread and might just not do what's expected to spite some posters here. I think his 'statement' will be a flyby apology, admitting wrongdoing but then quickly deflecting blame to other parties and call it a smear campaign. That way he and his followers can say he admitted fault but say the matter was too personal to be aired out like it was and somehow put more culpability and wrongdoing on his detractors for humiliating Pxie and co for leaking these videos and pictures to begin with. He'll concede that he never should have sent them out to begin with without permission but say the people who exposed him are just as bad because they in turn leaked the content to more people than he did.

I would be surprised if he had something that makes him completely innocent, somehow. I think the 'statement' - regardless of its quality - is also something for those who distanced themselves from him to justify coming back into his circle, like TurkeyTom. "Look, he admitted he was wrong. Sure, it was a shitty thing to do but the people who leaked the content are just as bad. What's done is done."

Destiny will avoid burning the bridge with Pisco because he recognizes a couple of things:

1. Pisco has more credibility than him and cannot be character assassinated. He does not criminally violate people's consent and he's an actual lawyer with an actual education.

2. Pisco has more potential than him. While Destiny's platform is much larger, Pisco has the drive, optics, debate skills, and rhetorical flair necessary to enter spaces Destiny cannot reach. Given the right push, Pisco can and would eventually surpass him as a voice in mainstream political discourse. He is talented/skilled/knowledgable enough right now to be on nightly primetime CNN debate panels, and with more media training and practice its possible he could go even further.

Much of the same can be said for Jessiah. Although Jessiah isn't a lawyer, his rhetorical flair is even better and more persuasive than Pisco's. His voice and its slight southern twang is more appealing to the ear, and he's a non-ugly white male. He has the highest ceiling of them all.

The only thing Destiny brings to the table is his ability to generate real on-the-ground political action, and the truth is that may not be the case anymore. Destiny may be able to survive this scandal in terms of clicks and views, but the appetite people have for associating with him publicly may be damaged beyond repair. Watching his videos and knocking on doors under the DGG banner are two entirely different things.

In short, in terms of being a mover and shaker in DNC politics longterm, Destiny recognizes he needs Pisco and Jessiah in his corner more than they need him. He is the lil bro now. The only question is whether Pisco and Jessiah recognize this. I suspect they do to some degree and will strategically keep the brutally molested sex criminal at arms length pending resolutions.
