First Doge subcommittee hearing from a few days back. The first quarter had a few people earnestly trying to get things done and one or two later, but 85% of it is political theatre, mostly but not all on the Democrat side. High notes include the screeching about ‘unelected’ elon and the DOGE kids accessing data, as well as about 1:54:10 with some rightward theatre calling out their “god Anthony Fauci” etc.
All in all, 7/10 entertaining to have on in the background while gaming. Would recommend.

but there is also a lot of fraud going on
Came across a case when I worked for court reporters. A bodega was suing the USA for stripping them from taking EBT because surprise, they were handing out cash for stamps. The fucking GALL, I saw the exhibits, thousands upon thousands paid out in cash.

Hell, when I got them my friend owned a bar and would give me about 75 cents on the dollar to restock his mixers.

I hate to break it to you...

(I am not the biggest baseball-fag but I'm pretty sure this is the most important international tournament for baseball)
Thing is, with the world baseball classic, American MLB players don't actually want to play in it since there no money and they don't want to risk injury. Foreign countries however, treat it like the baseball equivalent of the world cup, so they feel on top of the world when they beat the US team until someone points out that the US team is typically minor league and below players and not our best

Would agree, but they often still sperg about the Muslims and North Korea. It really is whichever group the media hypes up that day as the ultimate evil. Russia has the benefit of Cold War association to really spook the elderly.
Liberals wouldn't even say anything negative about Muslims after 9/11, what are you talking about?

People could avoid a lot of shit by avoiding products with more than five ingredients and any that use corn syrup, or seed oils. This would weed out 80% of the horseshit and takes a two second glance at the ingredients label to check.
I also don't think 12 bucks for maple syrup is a big deal. Do people really eat pancakes that often?
I eat them maybe once a month if that. They're more of a treat than an actual breakfast in my opinion.
Dear friend, maple syrup is for oh so much more than just pancakes, but only if you buy the real kind. For instance, I use quite a bit of maple syrup in overnight oats. A cup of steel-cut oats, cup and a half of milk, quarter cup of maple syrup, and an add-in or two like raisins or chopped walnuts, and in the morning you will have a delicious quick cold breakfast that is 100% better tasting and more nutritious than any cereal in a box you could think of. And it will contain a lot less sugar per serving without sacrificing sweetness.

Maple syrup is also a very versatile flavoring for many things from candies, baked goods, and even meats. A maple-bourbon marinade with thyme and garlic as a brush-on glaze can be absolutely divine on pork, but only if the syrup is real. Maple syrup also makes a terrific glaze for a variety of donuts, muffins, cakes, and corn breads, but again, it's gotta be real maple. I thought I hated old fashioned maple bar donuts until I had one made with real maple and cooked in lard instead of butter-flavored coconut oil, it was divine. Maple syrup has its own properties in binding and consistency that can't be replaced by maple-flavored corn syrup.

A lot of people actually don't like real maple syrup, because they're raised on the goyslop flavored corn syrup variety. The corn syrup variety has a much more intense sweetness and a more watery texture than maple syrup. The "maple" flavor is artificial, but that's what many people have learned that "maple" is supposed to taste like, so that's what they want. It bears noting that this maple flavored corn syrup isn't very useful in cooking. It's more efficient to put in your own corn syrup and maple artificial flavoring when cooking so that you can control the consistency and sweetness, since bottled "pancake syrup" is inconsistent in sweetness, thickness, and amount of maple flavoring across brands. The dollar store "pancake syrup" is almost pure watered down corn syrup, for instance. And it's not nearly as good on hoecakes either. Love me some good hoecakes.

Overall a pretty reasonable response without completely slobbering over JD. Comparing him to Locke and Hamilton makes me a bit proud of JD!
What I find interesting is he said the EU is the most united he's seen it in his 30 years (of politics? interest in the topic?)
He lists off their being united on Russian energy, on brexit, on covid, on the Russo-Ukraine war.
I wonder if "the EU being united" he means the governments of the various countries being united, or the actual people?
Because I know a shit ton of Europeans who are extremely unhappy with the mass migration, zero carbon goals, push for veganism, and limits on free speech in favor of protecting migrants and not offending non-whites.
I would be very interested to know what exactly he meant by that.
They aren't pushing for veganism they are pushing for bug eating.

What people like this don't understand is that even if it was coded language, people would still agree in huge numbers.

Who wants to be made to feel like a second-class citizen in their own country and that browns, illegals and fags are pandered to, celebrated and defended, while Whitey is villified, hated and attacked.

Fuck 'em, deport 'em, Conquer 'em.

He's right, Europe are vassals. They lost the right to consider themselves equals when they couldn't stop killing each other like lawless niggers in multiple global wars and needed us to babysit them and keep them from squabbling.
