This is the second, better Patrick btw. I got it from Owen. He’s like the anti Patrick in every measure lol he dropped by over there to give away a free download of his first novel to the fellas and they helpfully advised him to leave and never return, keep it on Twitter etc. I expect an oinkout once Pat realizes he visited the forums under his name. That combined with Brian Keene telling him to reach out for anything writing related will probably be a source of milk soon enough. Anyway he seems like a nice dude, I didn’t screenshot it but he praised Lori Janski as a saint and said his friend Katherine (I think) had been in a random confrontation once before with Pat where he did his usual 0-100 in no time flat. This guy is everything Pat pretends to be lol.

$99 per night. AirBNB takes whatever their cut is. Then the state and the feds swoop in for another 30%. What is he left with after spending hours laundering cummy sheets and scrubbing poop smears? 30, 40 bucks?

I guess he could write off all the Fabuloso and toilet brushes as a business expense at the end of the tax year. Hell, he could write off 10 times what he actually spends on property maintenance, and the government wouldn't notice or care. They're no strangers to doling out free money to this fat fuck (see: PPP loans; the forgiveness of same)

Or it could just be that he's a big fat lying phony and he doesn't pay shit because he doesn't earn shit.

Does he realize that if he wins a settlement out of court, he's gonna get raped for taxes on that money, too?

I agree. I doubt he even is paying a higher percent of his income in taxes than Musk. Never mind that even if Musk pays nothing, he'd still be contributing millions through other non-income taxes he pays and indirectly though his companies and employees. There's also the fact that people don't pay on income, but on taxable income, so no one is actually paying a higher percent than someone with a higher taxable income than them since we have progressive tax brackets.

But I'm saying that even granting the claim, it's a meaningless metric. There's no such monetary unit as "percent of a person's income" that can be used in transactions. The Federal government has to pay for things in an actual currency. One person might have an effective tax rate of 10% while paying $20 total in taxes and another of 5% while paying $20,000,000 in taxes. So, it's retarded to try one upping someone by referencing their (supposed) percentage paid.

Some of the fee is for cleaning afterwords. AirBNB's cut isn't too much for the host. Hurts more for the guest.

Musk and Bezos don't even pay taxes because they don't get a salary or a bonus. They get paid in other things like stock options. He only gets taxed when he sells. That being said, his tax bracket is 40.2% as of 2021. Here I thought it was bad here. Plus there's the fact that he moved to Texas.
