what's with all the hairline doomposting? did everyone collectively forget hair loss medication exists? thoughever it's probably not going to be covered by taxpayers' money unlike life-saving gender-affirming "titty skittles" (ew)
If you're 25 and losing hair it's probably hard to find someone to talk to about it that won't take the piss out of you for it. The common meds are minoxidil and finasteride, I believe spironolactone may also be used but I typically see the first two mentioned for men because it can give you moobs and sane men generally want to avoid that. Spiro is also used in actual women for skin issues so it's not as "bad" for women. But minoxidil and finasteride aren't really perfect for men, or anybody, either.
Unfortunately, minoxidil is permanent in that you need to take it forever or it stops doing its thing; never mind that it can be toxic to cats

It also has some serious health risks. Finasteride fucks up hormones for men and women and can cause permanent, irreversible side effects. Plus there's a thousand and one scams that promise they can give your hair back for X amount of money a year. Insurance probably (?) won't cover these meds it if it's not medically necessary, and cissies don't get the benefit of big pharma. They shouldn't be expensive anyways based on Goodrx pricing, but you're right, it not being covered by insurance/taxpayers because it's totally life-saving is likely another factor. Why pay $20 for meds when you can pay the cool price of $0, and get asspats on the side?
With so many people online crowing "HRT is magic," if you're gullible you might really believe it. After all, trannies never talk badly about HRT so it probably does sound like a miracle drug. It licherally changes sex! It even cures depression, makes you worse at math/driving/opening pickle jars, and gives you ~feelings~ that men obviously don't have, duh.
Edit:
this post on the LTT thread actually gives a pretty good breakdown into hair transplants, which trannies don't generally tend to get anyways but might help shed (heh) light on why men feel lost wrt hair loss. None of the options are good, but you either pick one or accept baldness and understandably many (especially young) men don't want that.
Black girls wear wigs. It's a known fact.
Bald men need to bring wigs back into fashion too. Think of them like a warm hat – with no more expensive trips to the barber's.
Unironically this. Toupees and wigs would be a better move for balding men and troons than messing around with medications that can affect your health. IIRC minoxidil can cause pretty serious health issues (heart failure comes to mind) and finasteride is pretty unethical to use in men considering limp pp is on the lighter side of the possible permanent side effects (prostate cancer is one that is Pretty Bad, especially when men are so much less likely to get regular screenings and checkups in the first place).
