1st off, not a single fan of that fucking movie understands that niggers are the real problem along with wetbacks. 2nd off the founder of apple had a literal garbage man as a father and the current apple ceo is from fucking alabama. so this whole "smart people don't reproduce" isn't that big of a deal as long as stupid people care even remotely about making sure their kids get a good enough education. 3rd off, its quality not quantity, a century ago everyone understood that which is why a third of the world population was white, now its full of niggers because we decided to not treat niggers the way niggers treat any species below them on the intellectual chain. this can all be fixed easily and quickly, we literally do have magic wands. 4th off, its a cultural thing, there was a time when the epicenter of science and intelligence was fucking paris and they managed to juggle advancing world knowledge and having 6 kids with their 2 wives and 3 mistresses so don't pretend like this is a solid thing. even in the literal fucking dark ages Teutonic people really hated sex. when you look at the royal families they rarely had more than 4 or 5 kids that lived long enough to get married. its why you had a lot of weird jumps in the UK royal family line, even the most hedonistic and powerful weren't reproducing consistently. You can even see it today, most people in porn are of Mediterranean-ancestry which is fucking insane considering how most of the US is english or german.
You do realize that it took the US a few months to a few years into both World Wars to get into full war production? And they did that by commandeering existing manufacturing companies to build parts?
Those are all components. But if banks get free money from the fed, that they can lend at ratios of 10:1. How would that not cause inflation? Especially when zoning laws make it so much harder to build new housing. That also makes these banks incredibly powerful, who knows which way the wind will blow in 10 or 20 years. They shouldn't have the powers they do.
I get that they cannot just say 'welp get outta here you scamps' but was more questioning the 'we are not going to release any more' story.

China has been chasing this (with genuine effort and major investment) for two decades at least. This is one of those things I don't think they're faking. They'd absolutely love reducing their reliance on petroleum for energy production. They're one of the few nations that never really "soured" on nuclear power when the rest of the world did.
Fusion might be an easier sell -- my understanding of the tokomak design is that if something fails catastrophically, the worst you'll get is "the building blows up" (in a non-nuclear fashion) and a brief low-level burst of radiation (not nearly to the extreme of a fission reactor consent accident). It'd still be a billions-dollar loss for the owner, but it wouldn't create an environmental catastrophe or even be a danger to the neighborhood.

I'm really late, catching up on the thread, but the final part of the Davos address where he's talking about how horrible the death toll in Ukraine is and how the war needs to stop is so powerful, and it's such a big fuck you to anyone there playing their part in perpetuating it, let alone profiting off of it. He specifically clarifies he's not talking economics or natural resources, just how many young people are dying, and how the death tolls are underreported. It's probably too much to hope any of it sunk in for a single person there, but I hope a lot of regular people see this and are reading between the lines.

Because fractional reserve banking has been a thing for hundreds of years but the housing crisis has only been around for a few decades and has only gotten extremely bad in recent years.
The difference between then and now is that at that time, the United States was THE industrial powerhouse. Factories of every type in every city, with raw materials production feeding straight to assembly lines. The situation now is totally incomparable. Our industries are nowhere near the scale, at nowhere near the self-sustaining. The supply chains alone to get raw materials for most equipment, especially electronic, are international in scale. There simply isn't the industry baseline pre-existing to do the "arsenal of democracy" where we convert soup can factories into shell-making munitions facilities.
The Bongs are family though (literally), we're about the only ones that has any right to.
