This case is a constant yo-yo cycle of IT'S SO OVER and WE ARE SO BACK

If this case gets dismissed without prejudice, Hardin really deserved one of those personalized frosted glass desk doohickeys with an engraved picture of a ship and the words "The Hardship" on it, something like this: crystal-viking-ship-by-mats-jonasson_799x799.jpg

Greer can now report this thread to Roskomnadzor, get it blocked in RUS, and then flee there for political asylum and become a hero.

Unironically probably his best bet right now.
What's the over-under on days before they would drop Russell like a drool bomb into Ukraine rather than put up with his ass any longer?

The combination of Null's unquenchable rage and Hardin's steamroller grind style of litigation is working well.
Don't forget Greer's unfathomable ability to fuck himself in his own ass and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The judge can leave Russel hanging for a while, no hurry until at least Hardin's response to Russ wanting to bring the full punitive force of law down on Null over that massive $250 debt that we don't know has been paid or not.
Pretty sure Hardin stated he doesnt need to pay until the current case ends as hardin can potentially win fees that outclass that $250 award.

I hope he gets a bulldog clip for Chrismas so he can finally keep his gums moist

One irony regarding Russel's December 23rd briefing I have yet to see mentioned: this briefing was the one filing where Russel should have been able to write a (comparatively) competent response, and he somehow still screws it up. Throughout this entire ordeal, whenever Russel is asked to provide legal argumentation about contributory copyright infringement or civil procedure, he instead writes a sob story about how hard his life is and how it's tough to be a pro se litigant.

However, the December 23rd briefing (where he was ordered to explain why he should not be sanctioned) was a rare exception where describing mitigating factors was the assignment. The judge was not asking for Russel to explain why he was legally justified in not disclosing witnesses and evidence, as the court already ruled he was not. That issue was settled. The assignment was to persuade the judge that he should not be punished. This was the one time in the case where Russel's usual arguments that "I am homeless and lacked resources" or "I am a pro se litigant and don't know how this works" would have been relevant (regardless of whether you find them persuasive).

What does Russel do? He inexplicably picks the filing where these arguments would be relevant as the filing where he does not include them. Instead, he spends the entire text developing incoherent legal arguments.

I've theorized before that Russell's adoptive parents didn't bail him out of homelessness because they just don't have the money. His dad's probably out of work if he's in the hospital with Parkinson's, so they can't afford to pay Russell's rent if they're on Social security, and even if they have a real retirement plan like a 401k, they EXTRA can't dip into that because that and it's revenue is the only money they have to live on for the rest of their lives!

Then Russ sends his dad an email telling him he needs to lawyer up.

I'm thinking that may be the main reason his dad told him to do whatever it takes to get them out of this. He isn't going to drain his savings and leave himself and his wife (maybe soon to be widow) bankrupt because Russell wants them to fight the subpoenas he sent their way!

My assumption would be his family told him in no uncertain terms to drop the legal nonsense, once and for all.

And just imagine the outcome if Russel had not withdrawn then as witnesses? People with long term firt person knowledge of Russ's decades long crusade of vexatious lawsuits? How exactly would dear old Dad and his brother have testified under oath about all of those?
