Ian found her (and other “alt” girls) attractive, and why
he clings to her emotionally, tolerating things that few men would (ex. The OF page). That’s why I

Although, does that actually match the timeline for her? Did she say
which ex? Because that’s an underhanded accusation of verbal abuse. She could just be lying to fish for compliments.
Convoluting a story for pity points without considering how it makes her look like someone with zero self-esteem OR defaming an ex as a bully. My favourite term for this is
“wounded bird camouflage”. Shit-talking your ex just makes it clear you make bad decisions.
The
other thing is that we know Ian is susceptible to wounded bird camouflage. Remember when he discussed that one tranny coming up to him and saying, “you probably don’t like transpeople”? Ian reported that and he said that it made him upset. This
would be an admirable sentiment on Ian’s part, if it wasn’t directed to a troon. I’m
fully convinced that exchange
did occur (we

None of this is really wrong in Ian’s part, at least not morally. However, it’s
profoundly naïve. Like a lot of kids from broken homes / with parental attachment issues, Ian has a hard time with subtle social situations. He is easy to con because his complicated feelings about his father (for example) make him vulnerable to displays of weakness. “Dani” and Anisa can’t be dumb whores who have
some responsibility for their situation, it’s all some Mean Bad Man. Hyde, the archetypal dismissive father, is neglecting and mistreating a variation on Ian’s mother. His father was in jail for most of his childhood, and this is common knowledge amongst most fans and
cited as a reason for adopting Anisa’s name. Correspondingly, Ian shows his ass, and what was supposed to be an exposé on Hyde becomes an exposé of
Ian. It’s sad.
