I think you underestimate how much "shit" people will put up with, but theoretically yeah. Theres a reason people like Shmorky are all men/ "former" men and are creeps. The worst lol cows are dudes like this and they always burn the brightest and burn out the hardest.

I actually have more questions than anything. What meds are you on, for starters? Are you on disability? Did it ever occur to you that the weird fucker who talked like a kid and liked to wear diapers might be a pedophile, and that's why he didn't let you anywhere near his computer at all? Was that a warning sign?

Do you think if you were less of a sadbrained fuckup other children might not have been groomed? If evidence comes out that Shmorky actually did physically molest someone, how are you going to sleep at night knowing that you went along with this game for years while getting high and reading weird conspiracy shit and ignoring it?

Obviously you didn't do any of this, but do you feel your continued silence contributed to any of it?

I've never understood the obsession with keeping threads "on topic" in GBS. Some pretty shitty threads have become good because of derailments. If everyone seems to be having fun and derailment isn't being used as a tactic to censor people, just leave the thread alone and amend the thread title if it no longer reflects what the thread's about.

People seem to have forgotten how to "vote 1 and move on", and then complain about the lack of interesting threads.

Again no expert here, but I think the chances of getting anyone to even give a fuck are pretty low and then I don't know if some unsubstantiated (legally speaking) logs with a non-US citizen(?) are really a basis for a search. The basis for @carefully's age is pretty sketchy to explain to a cop. We have someone saying weird stuff didn't happen until 18 but we're assuming it happened prior to 18 since the start of skype logs mean the start of them knowing one another.

I definitely think there's more than enough to string him up as a pedo for sure but to get his computer searched would probably have to be an accusation outside of what's being said in this thread. Sorry if I'm being dense but I feel like this is the kind of stuff you want to remain strictly realistic about.
 
I hate to keep bringing this up but we do have a Something Awful Community Watch thread and, in the interests of keeping this one on-track, discussion of how bad their posters and moderators are should go there. (Though any updates regarding their Shmorky thread can still go both places.)

If you read the thread you would see Mandarys was posting about Shmorky before the pedo chat log was leaked and didn't know anything about it, neither did anyone here.
