Well, that's assuming that Kandiyohi County placed a call. The simplest answer for all this right now, based on the solitary charge, is that Sterns County is simply not happy that Aaron's hearing was rebroadcast.
Not to powerlevel or anything because that's not what this is and anyone anywhere can learn the same from poring over MCRO records from the last two dozen drug busts in Nick's county, but it would take the absolute pinnacle of nonpracticing-lawyer naiveté for Nick to have not realized that effective drug interdiction in rural areas only gets done by multi-county regional task forces with an atmosphere of comity between colleagues on a first-name basis with each other, who probably don't much appreciate him talking shit in ways that could land a respected colleague an undeserved spot on a Brady list. Just google "CEE-VI" and "Stearns" with the quotation marks and you'll see for yourself. You bet your fucking ass there would have been a courtesy call.
