Movie scenes that brought you much sad

Well gee, if we're going to branch out into other mediums, how about commercials?
Now feed me your tears.

Can't think of a single scene (maybe the ending) but something about "5 Centimeters Per Second" makes me really depressed.

The ending of Terminator 2 always gets me.
And while we're on the subject of commercials, this is one I saw only a few days ago, but It nearly brought me to tears.

The Return of the King: Everything from arriving at the Grey Havens to "Into the West" during the end credits.

Also, that part in The Two Towers when Elrond has that speech about how Arwen will be doomed to eternal misery if she stays with Aragorn.

The ending of Juno. I have no fucking clue how that can even be construed as a happy ending.

I feel sorry Juno's son. He's going to grow up in a cold, controlling household, knowing full well that he was second best.
I disagree. I saw Jennifer Garner's character as a bit neurotic but in the typical expectant mother way not like some kind of witch. You could see on her face feeling the baby kick how much she actually cared about having a child. Also "second best" doesn't really come to mind when you're adopted. From personal experience you may think about it but never really dwell on it. Whoever adopted you is your family.

On topic, I'm trying to think of something. There has been sad but not much sad. Nothing I can think of that made me cry or anything like that. I assume this makes me soulless.

If Jennifer Garner's character adopted me as an infant, I wouldn't regard her as my mother. I would show her no respect, pity, or even mercy. She'd be nothing to me.

The ending of The Last Samurai and Mulholland Drive.

More disney.

I get emotional pretty quickly over movies, so the amount of moments in moviesthat had me tearing up are too many to list here, but another one I saw recently was a scene near the end of Wolf Children. I think people who have seen it will know which one I mean.

Grave of the Fireflies. Both my mom and I cried through the last 20 minutes or so the first time I saw it.

Cormac McCarthy subsists solely off of the misery of other humans. It's the only possible explanation for his body of work.

I actually really like McCarthy's incredibly gritty and bleak style of writing. It's got an tremendous emotional impact every time. He's a really good writer, despite being kinda pretentious. That having been said, I'm pretty sure chain-watching 2 movies based on his books, or even worse, reading two of his books directly after one another is a bad idea. Mainly because of the risk of it turning you into a depressed wreck for a few weeks.
