Hoooooly shit what a disastrous misread. To be fair to him, when I heard "cosplay rave" my first thought was definitely a bunch of anime convention nerds dancing it up to caramel dansen or something but, crikey, did Chibi not look into it in the slightest? This is just a regular fucking rave lol

Absolutely. He read this as a Cosplay event with a rave element (like something they'd do at one of his cosplay conventions) and not a Rave event with a cosplay element. He must've been sweating buckets in a packed, stuffy club with that get up, and I'm sure the make up started to disastrously smudge on his face.
I would bet good money this was the first time hes ever set foot in a night club.

With Chibi it wouldn't even have to be ghosting. He is absolutely one of those insufferable twats who doesn't understand not everyone lives on their phone, so if he doesn't get an instant response it'll be

Followed by a vaguepost about how rude some people are and how he just wants to feel a connection with another human being.

This is exactly what I imagined him doing. He immediately responds to any message because he needs that kind of connection. Then when somebody doesn't follow the same script he doesn't know how to react so he goes overboard.

The thing is, is that there are plenty of books written by psychologist to help people with socializing, understanding social queues, and social anxiety. However I highly doubt Chibi has the patients to sit down and read a book.

I don't think he even wants advice. Whenever he writes these posts asking for advice, I get the feeling he's actually trying to send messages to someone he was recently talking to in private, but now gets ignored by. He's a manipulator but he's bad at it.

He most likely spammed this thot's inbox and doesn't get replies anymore (or not quickly enough) , but instead of taking the hint he continues to pester her by messages like this.

Heck he can just follow a bunch of dating coaches on Youtube or Tiktok to get basic free fucking advice. Avoiding self validation through excessive proactive texting and matching text frequency are the most bare bones advices that are being thrown around everywhere.

I think it's half this, and half asking so he can tell people what he thinks the correct answer is. It's the same reason he's been banned from so many community Discords. He turns up pretending to look for advice then spams the channels with TMI posts and throws a pity party for himself when people get pissed off at him shitting up the chat.

He has had 10 years of failures to learn from. If he doesn't get it by now it's not that he can't, it's that he doesn't want to.
 
I know this is Chibi we’re talking about here, and him messaging some thot 10 times a day without a response and then screeching online about it would be completely within character, but my radar is going off that this might have something to do with wall eyes. Her angry reaction and the way he phrased his question of “what’s your take on messaging someone 4-5 times a day” just seems to indicate Chibi, being the coward he is, is effectively asking FB to tell her that she’s violating social etiquette and annoying him because his mom isn’t around to do it for him. I’m probably way off base here and this is just my wishful thinking acting up since I really want some Jalynn drama again.

she actually seemed like the more socially inept one in the relationship back then so if this is the case that'd be a fun twist. But I really hope they get back together because that would be great. (I did feel bad for her when she was reading this thread on this stream tho, mainly because he was being such a dick in bing-bing-wahooing to console her when she was clearly upset by what she saw)

I personally think it is likely to be a mix of the two prevailing theories. He is the one messaging her, and he used this as a call-out post about her not answering "My cosplay was cool tho right?" "You're not mad that I didn't have sex with you because I couldn't get it up because you're not an 80 foot giantess and didn't give me your panties this time, right?" string of DMs that he sent her.

Obvious hyperbole is obvious but even if she is the more looney toons one of the two, I guarantee she had 10 times the selection pool at this "anime rave" that Chibi had so maybe he is feeling insecure about some interaction that happened there.

The consistent and consistently accurate default option in any multiple choice question which involves Chibi and a social situation is that he sperged out and I'm gonna ride that trend unless presented evidence to the contrary.
