Amazingly this thread has been on page 3833 for over a week and Keffals has nearly been gone for an entire month again.

I held off on posting this since I hoped they'd come back and I could continue watching this train wreck.

This is what is so appealing to them. It finally gives them some sort of character they never got growing up. Alot of them have arrested development given social disability. While that isn't their fault, they have others take advantage of this for the reasons they have.

People raised in military bases are like this. When you constantly move around and have no solid "upbringing" you never develop any sort of way from one area/lifestyle/mentality. This leads to insecurity And more importantly identity issues in ways they genuinely cannot understand without education but still cannot get away from. It's not their fault buts it's still their problem. This is something alot of people have issues with wrapping their heads around.

Suddenly you give a total fuckin loser a crumb of power and it became their entire livelyhood given it "fixes" the problems they donot even under stand that they had. It's sad and somewhat not their fault but it isn't something anyone else has to give about iota of s fuck about.

Finding a character that they relate to, is directly addressing the arrested development that they suffer from. I almost feel bad for em.

You're painting with quite a wide brush here. Dad was constantly getting stationed at 2 bases on the East Coast and Japan. My identity solidified around 13, same with the few friends I still keep in contact with that were also Marine brats. Granted, where my identity solidified, dependents has to go to middle and high school off base. I like to think I had a pretty solid upbringing, but I was nearly an adult when 9/11 happened. The people that had issues developing a complete identity all already had some underlying mental health issues. As a military brat, you learn to adjust to new friend groups, but not to completely change who you are.

You are far more the exception than the standard in my experience. Yeah you can have someone slip through thats fine but it's hardly the rule of thumb.
