Gentlemen, I truly have no issue with biblical debates or whether or not a given text is canonical or altered. I actually think it's fascinating and better helps us understand the moral underpinning of western cultural.

With that being said, as I told the people with a multi-page argument about fucking Magneto earlier, go to whatever thread there need be for it. This one just moves so fast as is.

The issue is that the United States was and is influenced by Christianity. Atheists will argue the founders were Deists (They weren’t, a few like Jefferson and Franklin were but even then that doesn’t dig into them), but ultimately the US is based on British common law and French philosophy which both are ultimately heavily Christian.

I don’t mind the theology, but yeah unless it’s warranted I don’t see the point of the Dead Sea Scrolls being talked about here.

I do enjoy talking about how Jews and Papists actually served the Continental Army and Revolution disproportionate to their population in the colonies. The Freedom of Religion literally was more so you couldn’t discriminate the ride or die niggas who fought with less rights then their fellow colonists.
