Unlikely. Modern aircraft have redundant hydraulic systems that are backed up by emergency nitrogen systems. If you want to make a plane crash, fucking with the hydraulics before the flight wouldn't be very effective. They probably lost the system 1 pump in flight, switched to pump 2, then rerouted to the nearest airport. I'm 99.9% sure they were never at any risk of crashing.

Gentlemen, I truly have no issue with biblical debates or whether or not a given text is canonical or altered. I actually think it's fascinating and better helps us understand the moral underpinning of western cultural.

A mechanical issue caused former president Donald Trump’s plane to be diverted Friday as he headed to Montana for a rally, according to airport staff at Billings Logan International Airport.
The plane was scheduled to land in Bozeman, Mont., where his Friday evening rally is slated to take place, but instead landed in Billings, Mont., and Trump took another plane to Bozeman. The two cities are more than 100 miles apart.

At 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, Trump released a video from inside a plane where he said he “just landed” in Montana but did not address the situation. Trump’s campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at 10 p.m. Eastern time in Bozeman to boost Tim Sheehy, the Republican nominee for Senate. Sheehy is challenging Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) in one of the country’s most closely watched Senate races. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) highlighted the race as key at a Friday event in Atlanta as Republicans try to win back control of the chamber in November.
Trump’s rally on Friday is his only scheduled campaign event this week, as Vice President Kamala Harris has been touring several battleground states. Since announcing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her running mate on Tuesday, Harris has held several joint campaign events with him in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, injecting fresh enthusiasm into the race for many Democrats after President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race last month. They are slated to appear together in Arizona on Friday night and Nevada on Saturday.
In an attempt to draw attention away from the newly minted duo and back to his own bid, Trump on Thursday held an hour-long news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., where he expressed frustration multiple times about Harris becoming the new Democratic nominee. He gave winding remarks, which included bragging about his crowd size on Jan. 6, 2021, personal attacks on Harris’s intelligence and her Black and Indian ethnicity, and suggesting again that Biden should retake the nomination.
When a reporter asked why he wasn’t campaigning more frequently, Trump replied: “What a stupid question.”
