The British would have joined the war anyways. Belgian neutrality was just an comfortable excuse to justify joining the war. The British government was very Germanophobic despite the very Germaness of the Royal Family and associated houses (Lord Battenberg, a very competent head of the admiralty was forced to resign for being the son of a German Prince, this is ignoring the whole Titles Act that happened in 1917).
