it's funny the petty infighting and the American far right will never not be funny to me it never changes
Well it's why I love far left infighting myself. As a general rule, the farther you go, the more that only ideology will be the binding factor and any tiny degree of deviation is viewed as heresy of the highest order with purity death spirals.

Mate Imperial Germany was too fucking dumb to help itself. Do you know the story of the Zimmerman Telegram, when those dumb German bastards used a Telegraph line the US gave them access to (their own lines had been cut by the British), to try and arrange for Mexico to go to war with the US. The US didn't really want to join the war the fucking Germans made them.

Same thing happened in August 1914 with the UK. There was a British government in power that would have happily stayed out of the war, if only Germany hadn't invaded Belgium. Ignore fucking Dan Carlin, imperial Germany was a blight on the world, and if they had won, would have ended up in a war with the US within a few years (because that was German thinking, fight wars sooner rather than later)
The British really didn't do anything trying to stop it tho. Instead they went mad over Germany trying to actually compete with them economically. King Edward went on an tour through Europe just to try to isolate Germany as much as possible. Meanwhile Emperor Wilhelm did his best trying to establish a lasting peace with the other european countries years before the war. The Americans essentially asked to be attacked by a all the lend lease they were sending while using civilians as meat shields. President Wilson himself stated that one of the reasons why America joined was ideology.

Then again, this guy probably thinks Kaiserreich is a swell universe to live in compared to our own.
Haven't followed the main mod for a while, but it really looks better than OTL to me (it's massive unrealistic tho).

Wilhelm also thought it was a great idea to push forward with an aggressive foreign policy that alienated his cousins by competing in a naval arms race against George and doing little to improve relations with Nicky while also giving France the middle finger at every opportunity. Plus the whole "damned foolish thing in the Balkans" that Bismarck warned about. Weltpolitik was a disaster that ensured Germany would be fighting a war against Britain, France, and Russia with allies that were questionable at best.

Agree to disagree on the "better than OTL thing". The whole realistic thing isn't what makes it appealing, then again I'm more of a Kaiserredux guy which is even more insane at times.

The British would have joined the war anyways. Belgian neutrality was just an comfortable excuse to justify joining the war. The British government was very Germanophobic despite the very Germaness of the Royal Family and associated houses (Lord Battenberg, a very competent head of the admiralty was forced to resign for being the son of a German Prince, this is ignoring the whole Titles Act that happened in 1917).

Not a defense of the German Empire of Wilhelm II's dumb idea that dynastic relations could all assert control over government, but it's naive to assume Britain would not have intervenes regardless if Belgium was not invaded or not.

The 1914 cabinet wasn't, it was a liberal government backed by Labour MP's, even after the invasion of Belgium there were doubts, and I know there was resignations over it. Read the Guns of August. There was a path for the Germans to keep Britain out of the war.

Anyone have good recommendations for vids on early to mid 1800s America... that doesn't focus on blacks and slavery? I'm trying to study the daily lives, habits, and aethetics of the era but the algorithm just keeps spitting out racial whinging.

the closest you get is townsends, but that's 18th century, though they've dabbled in early 19th century stuff

And he has his furfaggot friend as backup.
Anyway this is first thing I saw when I checked his community tab.

Lol

Lol, lmao even. The British were rightfully scared and pissed when Germany snatched colonies, built a massive fleet and most importantly supported the Boers against the British. Absolute state of Kaiserboos.

Lol
Lefty wordswordswords AND explaining the joke to death in case his audience doesn't appreciate his genius. :story:

Get it? The RW strawman is 'Crypto' because he's a cryptofascist. GET IT?

Were cryptofascists an actual thing? Despite what the internet says to my knowledge Fascists do show up in jack boots with banners.

I like TIK, but I consider one of his flaws to be him not differentiating between the common definition and the actual definition. He needs to explain that "No, I am not referring to the common definition, bu4 what it actually means"

Funny how he leaves out a lot of important context in order to make Wilson and the Entente look even worse than they already were. Then again, this guy probably thinks Kaiserreich is a swell universe to live in compared to our own.
I don't care about this view of being some attempt to make Germany the hero of WW1. I just loathe Woodrow Wilson with all of my heart, and you should too.

Yeah when I first saw it I had to read it twice to understand that wall of text. Truly we are dealing with work of University graduate.

>colonies
If Britain and France get colonies why shouldn't Germany?
>fleet
Of course they build a fleet to protect their empire. Should they just disarm themselves and invite any opposing force for dinner?
>supported the Boer, who got genocided by the British at the time
The support for the Boer came mostly from the chancellor, counts and politicians. Willy himself just signed the telegram.
